After his adventure and conversation with Adam, Raven remains in the bar.
He settles in a booth with some cider and a plate of banana bread.
He's adding beads and feathers to what looks like a dreamcatcher.
Bother him, if you like. Or have some snacks.
[Where Raven meets Asar-suti, for a discussion of purpose, speaks to Ace about Doom, briefly, then discusses food, and with some friend-schmoop. Also, Michael stops by, on Random's recommendation, and they discuss business.]

"Erm. Good banana bread?" She's having trouble thinking of non-doomy things. It hasn't been this bleak in the bar since Dream went mad.

"I had no idea."

"How did you get it then... if you didn't order it?" She asks, warily.
no subject
It looks like banana bread, after all. And Bar gave it to him--it should be safe enough to eat.

"Bar must like you then. You could have gotten fruitcake."
no subject
Fruitcake is universal, it seems.
"I had not thought of such. Lady Bar is kind, indeed."

"I shall have to try it, next time. You are broadening my culinary horizons, Ace--first with jellybabies, and now this new cake."
"I thank you."

...
Fear, Raven. Fear.

"You have had good taste thus far, Ace. If you want to, I should be glad to try them."

"Be back in a flash!" And she bops off to bar.
...
Maybe it's a slow-moving flash. She forgot about the Bar's slow service today.
Plus, the Bar may be a bit weirded out by the request.
Eventually, she returns with two plates, each having a marmite and peanut butter sandwich. She sets one down in front of Raven, then sits down to start wolfing down her own.

His expression is thoughtful as he chews. It is not bad--far from the worst thing he has ever tasted, if not as good as eyeballs, or sugar cookies.
"It is good, Ace. Thank you."
no subject
"Y'welcome. Used to make these when I was a kid. Mostly 'cause peanut butter and marmite have a hard time spoiling, and I could usually find some bread that hadn't turned colors."

He eyes go a little distant, and his voice is soft.
"There is a particular type of fish that I have not had for some time. She used to make it, I think."
no subject
"Y'know, Bar can make almost anything. You should ask."
no subject
He smiles, and is back to being fully present.
"I am so very glad to have met you, Ace."
no subject
"Even if I nearly bit your head off when you first met me?" She asks, cheerily, as she polishes off the last of her sandwich.
no subject
He grins, and settles into the booth. His sandwich is gone, as well.
