It would appear Sawyer got restless during one of Claire's outings.

He's going to be in so much trouble.

Anyway, here he is in a booth, having managed to make his way down the stairs without falling. He's dressed only in a pair of jeans and wrapped in a couple of blankets that occasionally shift so that you can see the green scaly skin that has completely taken over his right side. His hand on that side is still missing, as are a couple of toes now.

A plate of dry toast sits nearby. He attempted to eat, but that just wasn't happening.

"Sawyer." -Chloe gives him a look- "That has to be taken care of now. It might spread. If it spreads, you could lose your whole arm! Not to mention that it might spread to your internal organs. I was healed once. It wasn't bad. He had to kill a tree to do it, but other than that, nothing bad happened. His name was Hawkins I think. I haven't seen him in a long time, but I'm sure he's still around. Or Nita. She's a sweet girl. She helped Tony when he tried to kill himself. But you don't have to, obviously." Because she can sympathize. Magical "mucking" tends to turn one off of magic all together.

"I ain't too worried about it spreading," he says as he opens his blankets. "It ain't gone much farther than this since Monday."

"I'll get better, then I'll see about the hand." Stubborn? Sawyer? Never.

Chloe's eyes bulge. "That's disgusting. Are you sure it doesn't hurt? Do you need anything? Some ointment?" Her brow wrinkles a little and she looks again at his hand-less wrist.

"Chase had his hand chopped off." She gulps.

"Funny thing, lotion's what made me lose the hand in the first place."

He shifts a little in his seat. "It itches... so I try not to think about it."

An eyebrow goes up. "Since when did Buzz lose a hand?"

Chloe's eyebrow arches a little but she shrugs it off.

"A few years ago my time. Jack- have you met him yet? He's Kim's father. Jack had to cut Chase's hand off because his wrist was clamped to a container containing a virus. They were able to re-attach it at the hospital though."

"That sort of thing is why I'm never getting a real job."

"So you're going to be a leech for the rest of your life. Admirable." Chloe might be trying to tease him. But then again, she could be chiding him.

Either way, there are NO BANANAS on her platter of fruit!

"Hey, it's worked so far."

Sawyer's mun would like to point out that Chloe's mun is clearly a crackrat.

"My friend Andrew didn't want to work. He wanted to spend his days sleeping and his nights downloading pirated programs. I got him a job at a graphics company. What are you interested in besides women and conning little old ladies out of their life-savings?" That last part was a guess. A really weird guess.

*smiles innocently at Sawyer's mun* *clearly*

"You my career counselor now?"

"No. I just don't want to talk about that." Chloe points to the green mass of stuff that is growing on Sawyer.

"Take your mind off of it. I guess." Chloe shrugs.

"Well, I ain't too worried about my future outside of this place." He reaches over for a triangle of toast.

"I got plans."

Chloe's a fed. Remember that part?
"What plans?"

"The kind that you're probably better off not knowing, sweetheart."

"I can't do anything about it. Have you ever told me what year you are from? I'm from 2013. If you're from anytime before that, you've already done whatever it is you're planning. Thus, I can't stop you."

Her deductive reasoning skills are so l33t.

"Still, rather not mention it right now. Don't want to jinx it."

"Fine." She shrugs. It's bugging her now. Damn you Sawyer.

Switching gears back to the original topic, "Claire hasn't lost anything? And Seth is ok, right? No nasty green fungus growing on him?"

"No, yes, and no. Looks like whatever it is decided to quit with me. Lucky me."

He grins mischievously and holds out his right arm. "Wanna touch it?"

"Are you- NO!" She kinda does though.

But more so, she wants to take a sample of it to a lab. Actually, if Sawyer wouldn't mind, she'd like to cryogenically freeze him and take his warping body to a lab.

He chuckles. "Far as I can tell, this ain't something growing on my skin. This is my skin, like it's actually turning into lizard skin."

Sawyer'd have to veto that whole 'freezing him and so he can go be dissected' plan.

"So it's scales then." Curious.

I wonder if my baby will have any sort of skin problems.

She rubs her belly absent-mindedly.

"Yep." He eyes her hand on her midsection. "You starting to feel bad now?"

"You could say that. Someone I met here doesn't agree with me." And BOY does she look pissed now.

I mean, really, royally p.o.'d.

"This your creepy harp-playing boyfriend you're talking about?"

"My creepy, harp-playing rapist."
