(no subject)

Faith is curled up on one of the sofas in front of the fireplace, coffee cup in hand and a pensieve expression on her face.

Yeah, Faith's thinking. No it doesn't hurt.

So money is counted out for that one, as well, and Arithon takes the resulting packages with a quiet compliment to the owner of the store.

"When we get back,"

He mentions as they leave,

"I will put a ward on it for you. What would you like it to be able to do?"

"I already have a magic sword."

He grins up at her,

"A very nice one, handed down for 1,504 generations of s'Ffalenn. Why would I need another?"

"I can make it glow in the face of danger. I can give it harmonics to disrupt thiere...although considering how many of the dead Milliways is home to, it would be best if we found one of those that you hunt and tuned it to that precisely. I can give it an enchantment to let you wrap shadows around yourself as I am able to for hiding. I can make it so that you may see in the dark when you hold it."

He considers, brow wrinkling,

"I could cause it to give you warning if magic was being used on you. I could cause it to disrupt spells sent at you. Only one or two of the above, however. More might interfere with the strength of the metal."

"I don't think I have met any of them, but I can see how their presence would make that particular ward more difficult."

He's trying to figure out if he can tell where they are.

"My greatest of pleasures."

He offers her a court-bow, deep and sincere.

"Now...where are we? And how do we get home?"

He flushes, and if he weren't s'Ffalenn he'd be brilliant red. As is he's a rather darker shade of brown.

Then he follows after her, shaking his head and smiling.
