There is a sparkly Raven sitting in the bar.

He looks very studious, writing in his notebook.

Ask him about the body glitter, or the nail polish.

Or take a cookie. He's got those, too. And tea.

"I don't know yet," Lilly replies. "I have to ask my roomie. On the bonus side, though, when it does happen you can see our hot tub."

Raven grins.

"That will be something worth seeing, perhaps."

The question at this point is probably 'does Raven know what she's talking about?'

He tilts his head, then.

"Your roomie? What have you been up to since last we spoke, Lilly?"

Lilly thinks for a second.

"I bought blackmarket electronics on an alien planet and nearly got shot but didn't, got a suite, talked a Vampire Slayer named Mel from my future into rooming with me despite her psycho vampire brother being in the bar, and I'm planning a kids' birthday party."

[creator_raven]

Raven grins.

"I went questing in Narnia, rescued some friends in Faerie, gained a sister, taught several lessons, and interfered in everyone's business."

A smile.

"Business as usual for both of us, I suspect."

"More or less," Lilly agrees, smiling, and then she blinks.

"Wait, you went to Narnia? Really?"

Raven grins.

"Yes. It is--"

A pause, and he looks very old, and not entirely present, for a moment. In his eyes, at least.

"It is more real than any place I have been, save my first world. It is a fine thing, if painful."

He shakes his head, and resumes his normal demeanor.

"Have you been there?"

Lilly shakes her head, slowly.

"No. But one of my best friends here was the High King there, for a while. He talks about it sometimes and the way he does... well, it sounds pretty damn amazing."

Raven's smile is gentle.

"It is. Very. Perhaps you will see it, sometime."

And then, of course, it turns wicked.

"Peter the Magnificent?"

He laughs.

Lilly laughs along with him.

"That's him, yeah. Peter the Magnificent. And according to him, I'm Lady Lilly the Dauntless. For some reason, though, he seems to think I might terrify the Narnian populace."

"I think they could use a dose of you, perhaps."

Raven is still almost snickering.

"I gave him bunny slippers, Lilly. They are very fetching."

Lilly cracks up.

"Bunny slippers? Really? Oh man, I'm so making him wear those all the time. That's awesome."

She beams at him.

"And yeah, I think the Narnians would love me. Wouldn't I make a totally kick-ass High Queen?"

"I think you would be very righteous."

Is Raven using slang? Probably not.

Probably.

He grins.

"You should make him wear them. They are blue and yellow--very fetching."

"I bet they are," Lilly says, laughing still.

She smiles, not quite innocently.

"I think he's going to end up wearing them a lot, really."

Raven laughs.

"See if you can convince him to come flying, as well. I think he could use some of that freedom."

He shakes his head.

"Never did I think someone would refuse such a thing."

Lilly blinks, stunned.

"Pete said no? To flying?"

And then she pauses, and sighs.

"Yeah, okay. I can actually see that."

[creator_raven]

"He is remarkably--unconcerned with his own joy, I think. I have decided to teach him."

Raven sounds very firm about this decision, and also fairly amused.

Lilly grins crookedly at Raven.

"That's a really excellent way of putting it, Raven. And totally true. You teach him flying, I'll work on the rest of it."

[creator_raven]

Raven nods, decisively.

"We are agreed, then. It is well. I am pleased to work with you, Lilly."

[awesome_lilly]

Lilly nods just as decisively.

"We totally are, Raven. This is going to be hoopy."
