There is a sparkly Raven sitting in the bar.

He looks very studious, writing in his notebook.

Ask him about the body glitter, or the nail polish.

Or take a cookie. He's got those, too. And tea.

Ducky doesn't know whether human-shaped things are meant to sparkle or not. But it is entirely possible that the shiny is what drew the baby dinosaur to stand on his table, and gaze up at him in fascination.

"Hello."

Raven looks down, blinks, and tilts his head.

"Hello. What manner of being are you?"

"I am a big-mouth," she says.

"And, and you are a human-pilot, or a Amberite-human or... something else."

She pauses. This barrr-thing is very confusing. "What are you?" she asks politely, just to be sure.

Another blink.

"I see, I think. They call me Raven. I look like a human, and I can choose to look like a bird, but really, I am neither. It is a strange thing."

Ducky regards him seriously.

"Yes," she says. "You are a raven. I see. Do you live here?"

"For the moment, yes."

A pause.

"For the foreseeable future? Also yes."

A blink.

"As for yourself?"

"I live in the Great Valley," she informs him.

"But I like to visit the tree-cave sometimes."

Sometimes Ducky forgets what things are called.

"The tree-cave sounds like a very nice place. Do you visit often?"

Lilly is laughing even as she walks up to Raven.

"What up, sparkly sai?"

Raven looks up, and beams.

"I was morose. This is how the universe repays me."

His smile grows a little warmer.

"Blame Ace."

Lilly laughs again.

"If we're blaming Ace, then I'm just happy you're not also exploding. Really, though, I kinda like this look on you."

"I think it is reasonably pretty, myself. I should get more from Bar, perhaps."

He laughs.

"Will you sit?"

"Course!" Lilly grabs a seat and smiles at Raven.

"Hey, did I tell you I got a suite? And that you have to come to my suite-warming?"

Raven blinks.

"No, you did not--not to either, though I think we may consider that remedied. When will this suite-warming occur?"

[awesome_lilly]

"I don't know yet," Lilly replies. "I have to ask my roomie. On the bonus side, though, when it does happen you can see our hot tub."

Raven grins.

"That will be something worth seeing, perhaps."

The question at this point is probably 'does Raven know what she's talking about?'

He tilts his head, then.

"Your roomie? What have you been up to since last we spoke, Lilly?"

Well this looks distracting.

"Hello Raven, and my but those teenage girls can be dangerous can't they."

He smiles. "Mind if I sit? If you're too busy though, let me know, and I'll just take a cookie and be on my way."

"Sit, if you like. At the moment, I have nothing but time."

He smiles, and gestures to a chair.

"Thank you." He sits and does indeed retrieve a cookie.

"So what fairy did you offend? Because that doesn't look like Puck's handy work" He asks facetiously, with a grin.

Raven laughs.

"No Fae were offended. I was being morose, and Ace offered to distract me. I am quite distracted, I admit."

"And you are certainly distracting. I've met Ace a few times, but I don't think she'd make me sparkly. Be more likely to set me on fire I'd expect."

He smiles and gestures at the notebook. "So what are you working on?"

Raven grins.

"Patterns, for spells. I have some students, here, and this may eventually prove useful."

A pause, and he tilts his head.

"How have you been keeping yourself?"

"Much better now that I am no longer on cleaning duty." He smiles.

"You have students of magic? Any one I should be afraid of?"

So long as he's not teaching Ramon.

Raven tilts his head.

"Everyone is to be feared, at times. As of this moment, however, I suspect the answer is no."

Random's walking by, rather in a hurry.

His eyes pass over Raven, then snap back again, widening.

He shakes his head, to get the blood moving, and runs a hand through his hair.

"If I weren't in a big hurry, I'd ask. But as it is, I'll talk to you tomorrow."

He wanders off, at a somewhat slower pace, occasionally glancing back over his shoulder.
