There are two Jedi in the bar; one dressed in his typical Jedi robes, while the other opted for something more Earth-like - a black tanktop and jeans she picked up while in New Jersey with Sam, to be exact.

Currently, they're sitting at a booth with glasses of Whyren's, playing a few rounds of sabacc to pass the time. There's an amused grin on Jaina's face. Apparently, even with the meld working in his advantage, she can still beat Zekk easily.

Bonzo tries to think back.

"Part of it was government pressure...the IF made it into a big deal for you to have a kid there. And then they sold it to my family as me going 'off to save the world'."

There's a bit of sarcasm at the end.

"There was also no mention of the dying part."

Big ommission there. Unintended, but still big.

Jaina and Zekk give him a sympathetic glance. "Did anyone you know die?"

Bonzo shakes his head.

"I think I was like the second kid or something like that to die...in the world where I died, that is."

Re: The Graff-set-me-up line.

Jaina reaches out with the Force, probing Bonzo. "You don't feel dead."

Bonzo nods.

"I'm very much alive."

Pause.

"Here's what happened: I'm walking into a bathroom to fight with Val's little brother. I walk through the door and wind up here instead. I fight Ender here, don't die, and wind up regretting that I fought him in the first place. So I swear I won't fight him while I'm here...not to mention that I see a vid of the fight I was going in to fight and die in. After about seven or eight months, I go back home, and do not fight him, and therefore do not die."

Bonzo pauses to catch his breath at the end of that.

"Sorry for the deluge there."

Jaina and Zekk study him, identical expressions of surprise.

"We didn't know," Jaina begins.

"That Bar could interfere on that level," Zekk finishes.

Bonzo pauses.

"Didn't Val marry Luke Skywalker?"

He pauses.

"Besides...it wasn't the bar itself...it was what happened while I was here."

Jaina nods. "True. But your timing was perfect."

"Right before you were supposed to die," Zekk throws in.

Bonzo nods.

"Point taken. And I thank...well, the Force or whomever runs the bar for getting a second chance."

Jaina's face falls, as does Zekk's a couple moments later. She makes a couple of clicking sounds. Softly, "Second chances would be welcomed."

Bonzo nods. He doesn't expect to get another one. Ever.

"When they come, take them, neh?"

He grins a bit.

"So...yeah. I'm not the same kid who was in that bathroom fight, and I know I was a fool to go to Battle School."

She laughs dryly. "If you come, you mean."

Bonzo nods.

"Point taken."

They nod, falling silent except for a few clicking and humming sounds between them. Jaina's thinking about Jag again...surprise, surprise.

Bonzo glances between Jaina and Zekk, this time taking note of the clicking noises. Strange.

"So...how have you been for the last week, Jaina?"

"Busy."

"We went to New Jersey for a couple of days."

"New Jersey? That's in the United States, right?"

"We think so."

"Sam might have mentioned that."

Bonzo nods, not knowing who Sam is.

"How did you like my planet?"

"Primitive."

"But nice."

Bonzo nods, yet again realizing just how primitive Earth is compared to the Star Wars worlds.

"What's it like to be able to travel between star systems overnight, anyway?"

Jaina chuckles, and Zekk grins. "It's not always overnight."

"Some trips can take a couple of weeks, depending on how far you're travelling."
