(no subject)

Chris sits in the bar, staring out the Observation Window and lost in thought.

"I'll bring that right over." She goes over and actually makes it herself. She's actually quite good at it. She brings it over and puts it on the table.

"How are you faring today?" she asks quietly.

"I am well. Better than last week, anyway." She looks around. "Things seem to have quieted down a little around here," she comments.

"I had...a little panic attack. About Los Angeles." She shivers once, then shrugs it off. "I'm a little better now, though."

"Well, I suppose last week was the first week absolutely nothing was happening long enough for me to actually let everything sink in."

She pauses before asking the next question, since she's pretty much ignored the situation up until now. But she is concerned, after all. "How are you and Jack doing?"

Elaine still doesn't quite know what to think of the situation. On the one hand, she wants Christine to be happy, and on the other...it's just an impossible situation, and makes her head hurt just thinking about it.

"I'm glad for you." She knows that much, anyway.

Elaine smiles a little more brightly. "If you need anything else, just ask...but for now I should probably get back to the rounds."

"You're welcome. Good even, Chris."

And Elaine goes off to wait on other patrons.
