*Meg heads into the bar through the front door, and sits down at a stool with coffee and a look of some relief.

"Okay, suitewarming? There was tequila, and a hot tub, and he was really drunk and he kissed me."
She lifts her head, smiles crookedly at Meg.
"I stopped it before it got anywhere, though, and gave him some water. I'm not entirely sure he remembers what happened, but it still kinda killed my whole 'Pete is over me' theory."

"I know," she says muffledly. "This whole thing makes me feel kinda evil. I don't want him to be all sad about me, Meg. I just don't know how to make that happen."

People fall in love. It happens. Three quarters of the time or more it's an idiotic thing to do, it's just - one of those things. It's not like you're leading him on or anything -

Maybe - I mean, it'll be hard at first, but it'll help him get over it more than it he lurks around going 'maybe maybe' all the time. If that makes sense.
