"Both were won, by those I would have preferred to win." And there is satisfaction in that.

"But there were losses, as well." A pause. "The Wheel weaves."

*He leans into her hand, purring. That purr carries comfort.*

There are almost always losses, in war. What wars were these?

"One on a place called Antar, for ... revolution, if you will."

A pause. "Another to destroy an Academy, for the sake of the worlds as well as the children who were there."

*The not'cat stretches out, langorously.*

At least both went relatively well. I am glad.

"Yes. As well as might be expected, and better than it could have gone."

It has been a week for meeting people, it seems, for me. Oh, and I met someone I do not think you would like, Moiraine.

"Which someone is this?"

Her hand on his back stills for a moment.

*Her hand is firmly nudged. She must have forgotten about the stroking. How careless.*

He did not mention his name to the innocent white cat who came to him for scritches. He wore rather odd clothes. He had one red eye, and a withered hand.

He had something of the scent of a necromancer or Free Magic sorcerer when they are at their peak, just before the magic they chose to use begins to show its highly corrosive nature.

She frowns slightly as she resumes petting him.

"I see. Someone to keep a watch upon, perhaps."

[mogget_cat]

*He purrs.*

Perhaps.

*He stretches, flexing claws and yawning.* Mm. It is late.

"Perhaps you would wish to go and rest, then," she says serenely.

[mogget_cat]

*purring* Sleep is good. I have been up too long today.

[blue_ajah]

"Go and rest, Yrael." Serenely said, as she lifts her hand in order to lay it on the bar, requesting a glass of white wine.

"Light illumine and protect you."

[mogget_cat]

*He gets up, drops lightly down from the bar, and wraps once around her ankle, purring.*

Just as long as it doesn't illumine me while I am trying to sleep, I am fine with it. Good night, my friend. Be well.
