Claire is sitting under a tree with Seth today. It's not yet dusk, but the sun isn't nearly so bright out there, and well, it's much cooler than New Orleans.

She's in a pretty good mood too, and thus, so is Seth.

"Well, Coruscant is one big city. And Chandrillia is quite the opposite. A planets of beaches and farms." Sera says. "Quite boring really. Coruscant's the center of the galaxy. It's exciting to live there."

Claire nods. "The city I'm from is one of the major metropolitan cities on Earth. But before I came here I was stranded on an island that was just one big beach and forest."

She makes a face. It's obvious she doesn't have fond memories of that island.

"What a change, just like mine, but opposite." Sera wrinkles her nose. "But being stranded on an island? Yuck."

"It wasn't very relaxing," she smiles wryly. "Technically that's where I still live if I leave the bar on my own. But my friends have given me a token that allows me to pass into their world instead. So that's where I'm moving."

"Astral." Sera uses the juvenile term, reminding her she needs a boyfriend. And not a bunch of kids. "About the token thing. Not the island."

"Astral is. . . good?"

"Yeah...it's ah...um. Slang. For great! Wonderful!" Sera laughs. "It's a kid thing. A sign I need a boyfriend, I think."

She giggles.

"I like it," Claire laughs. "You know. . .I bet I could find a guy for you, if you want."

Sera blushes. "Well, I don't...there is this guy here...but I'm...he's..." She sighs.

"Yes?" she prods gently.

"I'm shy. He's in Rogue Squadron, and I totally blew it the day we met. His girlfriend was killed, and they wanted to adopt kids, and I forgot that bit of information, and totally rambled on about my job...and Claire! He probably hates me!" Sera wibbles.

Oh, goodness. She hadn't meant to make her wibble.

"I'm sure he doesn't," she says reassuringly. "You should talk to him again. If he's really so great, he won't fault you for being passionate about something you love."

"He said he didn't mind...but." She shrugs. "And then I acted sort of fangirly. This girl at one of the orphanages adores him, so I asked for his autograph for her. It kind of freaked him out I think."

"That's sweet," she smiles. "I bet if you talked to him again you'd find he was more impressed with you than creeped out. He should be impressed at any rate."

"Why? I'm just...blah." Sera picks at her boring shirt and skirt.

"No, you aren't," Claire scoffs. "You're lovely, and very sweet, and anybody would be lucky to be liked by you."

She smiles. "I'm very perceptive about these things. People hate me for it. It's just how it is."

Sera bounces Seth again, then smiles oh so small. "Thanks. That means a lot to hear that."

"Things will work out," she promises. "Don't be so quick to rule them out. I didn't think my ex-boyfriend would think I was anything special. But. . ." she sighs wistfully. "He did."

Sera smiles and puts a hand on Claire's arm. "You are special, Claire. You can see the good in people, when they don't know what it is."

Claire blushes and looks down. "It's not hard to see the good in people, when it's so obvious, Sera."

Sera just grins. "This is probably the first time I've felt completely comfortable here."

"Good," she smiles. "This isn't a bad place to be, really. Not at first, and not if you can find friends."

Sera tickles Seth on the side for a second, then glances up at Claire. "Can I count you as a friend?"

"Of course!" she beams. "I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you all this time if you couldn't."

Seth giggles and lays his head on her shoulder. Somebody's getting sleepy.

Sera grins. "I don't know. You could have just been polite."

Sera holds Seth close to her chest, and rocks back and forth a little.
