It is a known fact that a mun who once rpsterbates will, in fact, give in to rpsterbating again, even if she had sworn never to, for the sake of her sanity.

This may be why Kitty is sitting with Sunny on her lap, an amused expression on her face.

The amused expression may be caused by the fact that Sunny is reading to her Alice in Wonderland, pausing now and again to babble about one part of the story or another.

"Oh," she says quietly, looking back down at Sunny.

"That's-- that's good of ye, then."

She shrugs, pausing as Sunny shows her a picture and asks a Very Important Question.

"...No, you cannot throw pepper at the dragon's nose. If he sneezes, it'll be messy." Then, to answer Susan, "Not really. All I do is have the rights to have medical care given, if he or she needs it, and sign any legal documents that might need signing. But someone has to."

She looks a little confused, now.

"I don't-- the right to have medical care given?"

Legal documents she kens, contracts and the like, but this is mayhap not something she's encountered before.

"If a person is underage, their legal guardian has to sign the papers when they need medical attention."

"Oh," she says. Pause. "All right."

Less strange than other things she's come to accept, oh aye.

Still pretty weird, but yeah.

"Anyway. Long week. Month. Year. Lifetime. All that." Beat. "The demon bunny tried to eat my dragon."

...

This would be Susan Delgado staring at Kitty in rather a great deal of surprise.

Kitty stares back.

Sunny discovers why a raven is like a writing desk, and tells no one.

"What?"

"The demon bunny tried to eat yer dragon?"

"...Yes?"

Roland's not here to say it, and Susan wouldn't, say sorry. But still... oh yeah.

Fucking Milliways.

"... oh." A pause. "Is -- is yer dragon all right?"

"More or less. He tried to fry the demon bunny."

And finally, Susan begins to laugh. Mayhap more than such a thing would warrant, oh aye, but laugh she does.

"I... I suppose it makes sense..."

"I think Edmund thinks that the demon bunny is corrupting the Junior Extremely Allegorical Messianic Kitten." Solemnly.

And now she's back to staring in blank confusion.

"... the what?"

"The Junior Extremely Allegorical Messianic Kitten. Nicknamed Christy. I bought her for Edmund for our, um, anniversary," because Kitty gets sheepish.

Sunny does not snicker quietly. No. Never.

"I also named her."

Absently, she soothes Sunny, still staring at Kitty.

"Why did'ee name her that?"

"Because I'm irreverant, find the idea that the messiah figure my boyfriend believes in is a Lion to be extremely amusing, and it made Edmund headthunk?"

...

She's not headthunking, but she's close, mayhap.

"... ye mean sai Aslan. The Lion."

She smiles. "Say true."

She said she was irreverant! (Kitty is also mildly afraid that the Lion won't like her, or think she's good for Edmund, and thus jokes and treats it all lightly. Blame the X-Men's influence. Wise-cracking in the face of danger and fear is a lesson at the Institute, right after, 'How to Come Back from the Dead for the Fifth Time and Not Be A Cliche.')

There's a pause.

"But he's the Lion."

Poor Kitty. Mayhap she'll feel closer to him if she thinks about the fact that her name is feline?

"...Yes, I got that."

Kitty is, sadly, illogical in such areas.

Sunny mutters, "'Esus-Puppy," around a mouthful of book, and seems content.

"Ye've not met him, then." She seems certain of this, and the reason why is clear as she continues,

"Ye'd understand, if ye had."

"Haven't met him," she agrees.

I don't think I want to. Kitty has no doubt that he would see her for what she is.

And no matter what Edmund says, she doesn't think he'd like her, or think Edmund should (love) date her, be with her, and Kitty thinks he would be right to believe that.

Susan's smile is bright and shining now, and she hugs Sunny to her, beaming at Kitty.

"He's-- he's the Lion. He's a Guardian. He's -- he's wonderful, Kitty, say true."
