First Post: Henry McCoy, the Beast

OOM: Pre-Milliways

Hank bounds into the room feet first with the grace and precision only a nearly 600 lbs. cat-like mutant can manage, landing in a crouch with one claw on the ground. He quickly rises to his feet. His eyes widen in surprise as he watches the room, seemingly trying to see it all, and everyone, at the same time.

With an absentmindedly look, his fingers press over a large device in his hands then places it in a pouch on his belt.

Drawing aside from the door to a nearby table he looks around the room, eagerly taking in everything. His eyes glow in interest as he sees the bar and how people react to it. He then catches sight of the observation window. His eyes widen and a smile comes to his face. It is the smile of a child who has fouind a new toy.

"Oh my stars and garters! Breathtaking!"

He stretches like a cat, an almost seven foot tall, and almost 700 pound blue-cat- the shape of a man,a dn then casts his gaze around, his mind racing in amazement.

"My friend. She's a mechanic. Her granny builds automail."

"Metal prosthetics that function as well as real limbs," explains Al. "Granny Pinako makes the best automail in the world." he looks at Hank thoughtfully. "If you don't know about automail, you've probably never seen alchemy," he says, eager to show off his talents.

"It's not magic," Al warns, ahead of time. "It's the science of transmuting matter from one form to another, based on the principle of equal exchange."

"It works like this," says Al, pulling a piece of chalk out of his pocket and inscribing a circle upon the table. Symbols are added here and there, and when he's done, he drops a spoon in the middle and puts his hands on the edge of the circle. The circle glows, and the spoon turns into a tiny spaceship.

"Exactly!" says Al, glad somebody finally understands. "The matter is converted from one form to another and rendered stable. It's transmutation - causing one object to take a different form."
