Kim's in the bar with Angela. They both finished their meals and now they're people watching. Angie has a coloring book and is marking it with crayons. She doesn't get close to staying in the lines but she's smiling and having fun.

She turns to look at Angie and smiles at her before grabbing a napkin and cleaning off her face. "You're a mess," she says in a light tone, laughing a little. It's still surreal to be taking care of a child.

She also is looking out for a certain latin terrorist. But his boyfriend said he wasn't going to hurt Angie and something about Nita...

Angie giggles and returns to her coloring.

"Ahh. I see." He chuckles at Angela's confusion, his scanner speeding up. "She reacts better than some people. I'm used to strange reactions."

"So what have you been up to?"

Angie stares at Karr for a few more moments, "In car?" She asks her mommy.

"No, no one is driving Karr right now, sweetie."

"Catching up with Bonnie, mainly. She was away for a little over two weeks, and needless to say I'm glad to have her back. And yourself?"

He chuckles again. "Techniclaly, I am in the car...my CPU is, anyway. But it's like a brain is to anything organic."

"Where has Bonnie been? I've been doing some self defense work and just spending time with my family and some friends. Did you...hear about the bard?"

She touches Angela's hair when she says the last part.

Angie blinks at that explanation and looks up at her mommy again.

"Sorry, Karr, I think that went over her head..."

"She's been out in our world, working. She's on sabbatical from FLAG, but she's found other work-and there's a new AI here that she's been working with. Apparently he's one of ours, but he's a plane. And very slow to take a hint." His scanner slows down as he thinks. "The bard?"

The scanner flashes for a moment-the closest thing he can do to a shrug. "It goes over plenty of people's heads, and she's young. It's understandable."

"A plane? He can't fit in the bar...can he?" And she nods, "Yes, the bard, wore all black, carried around an instrument, sometimes played the piano..." she presses her lips together slightly, realizing that for some reason it hurt to talk about it.

"Athin?" Angie asks, looking up with big eyes.

"Yes, sweetie, Athin," Kim holds her a little closer.

"Not as a plane, but he can take human form just like Kitt and I can. It's useful." His scanner slows again as he mulls over the description. "I think I might have met him once."

"I'll have to keep an eye out for him. What does he look like?"

Angie has returned to her coloring because this conversation has a lot of words and she doesn't understand them.

Kim nods and then smiles a little, "I assume you heard about Tony and Michelle?"

"Mm...shorter than Kitt or I. Blondeish-brown hair in a military sort of cut, and when I saw him, he was wearing a Navy flightsuit." His scanner brightens. "I have. I'm glad for them."

"How is he adjusting?"

She smiles, "I think they'll still have the ceremony here."

"He didn't seem too bothered by human form, but I barely spoke to him. And I'm sure they will. It should be interesting, to say the least."

"I mean to milliways, although human form must be a huge change too."

She nods, "Interesting?"

"He seems to be dealing well enough with Milliways. He's been here for a few weeks now, I think."

He chuckles. "Well, seeing how this is Milliways...imagine who and what are bound to show up, or at least stick their noses in out of curiousity."

She grins, "That's true...although maybe it's a sign of good luck."

"And good luck is always, well, a good thing. Far better than bad, anyway."

"How has your luck been lately?"

"Better, now that Bonnie is back here. It's helped my system integrity, at least."

"It's hard when people you care about go out of the bar..." she agrees.

"Particularly when your life quite literally depends on them. But the integrity is back to normal, so I'm not worried."

"Did you have problems?" She looks a little concerned.

"It fell slightly while she was gone. And I was rather curt to Kitt when we spoke. But that was all."

"It's probably a good thing she got back anyway. How is Kitt doing?"

"Good. He's started working again, and he seems happy about it."

"Working?"

"With his driver-running around, solving crimes, that sort of thing. I'll be doing the same eventually."
