Kim's in the bar with Angela. They both finished their meals and now they're people watching. Angie has a coloring book and is marking it with crayons. She doesn't get close to staying in the lines but she's smiling and having fun.

She turns to look at Angie and smiles at her before grabbing a napkin and cleaning off her face. "You're a mess," she says in a light tone, laughing a little. It's still surreal to be taking care of a child.

She also is looking out for a certain latin terrorist. But his boyfriend said he wasn't going to hurt Angie and something about Nita...

Angie giggles and returns to her coloring.

KARR drives up, stopping near the table. "Hello, Kim. I haven't seen you in awhile. Who's this?" While he isn't fond of children, it doesn't stop him from being curious.

Kim smiles at him. "Hi Karr, it's been a while...oh, this is my daughter, Angela."

Angela regards Karr with big eyes. "Talk car...?"

"I didn't know that you had a daughter. Hello, Angela." As she's Kim's child, he'll at leas make an attempt to be polite to her. Although he's desperately hoping he doesn't get drooled on. "Yes, I talk."

"Chase's daughter...but I love her like she's mine," she touches Angela's head.

Angela blinks and looks up at her mommy and then back at Karr. It seems odd.

"I don't think Angie's met a talking car before..." Kim explains.

"Ahh. I see." He chuckles at Angela's confusion, his scanner speeding up. "She reacts better than some people. I'm used to strange reactions."

"So what have you been up to?"

Angie stares at Karr for a few more moments, "In car?" She asks her mommy.

"No, no one is driving Karr right now, sweetie."

"Catching up with Bonnie, mainly. She was away for a little over two weeks, and needless to say I'm glad to have her back. And yourself?"

He chuckles again. "Techniclaly, I am in the car...my CPU is, anyway. But it's like a brain is to anything organic."

Chase comes in from an evening jog, spots Kim and Angie and just leans against a table and watches them for a while.

Something rises inside him as he sees them both laughing. It's the same feeling that always has him smiling faintly when he wakes up with both of them every morning, as he's done for the past few days, the completeness that just isn't quite there when he's only waking up with one or the other of them.

He slides into the seat next to Kim and kisses her cheek, stroking Angela's hair. "Hey, guys."

Kim kisses his cheek in return, "Hey."

"Daddy!" Angela holds up the coloring book. "Look!"

He makes a show of examining the coloring book as if it's the Mona Lisa. "Wow! Looks like we're going to be saving up to send someone to art school, huh, Kim?"

She grins, "Angie's very talented."

Angela beams.

"What have you been up to?"

"Not much. I just went for a run. What've you guys been doing?"

"Not much. Did you see the note from Tony and Michelle?"

[mogget_cat]

*Snowflake pads over to them, looking curiously at Angela.*

"Hey there," Kim smiles down at Snowflake.

"Kitty!" Angela says, trying to climb over her once more.

*The stark white Snowflake leans forward to sniff curiously at Angela. What a strange creature.*

"Angie have you ever met Snowflake?" Kim turns to her daughter.

Angie shakes her head and reaches out her hand to touch the kitty.

*Tiny fingers get sniffed by a pink nose, then are brushed up against by soft white fur. The most contented sound in the world, a purr, is heard.*

Angie giggles and pets the white kitty. "Pretty," she says and looks up at her mommy.

Kim gently pets Snowflake, her nails scritching his ears.

After a while, there's a Nita, sitting and watching Angie color with a small smile on her face.

"Hi Nita," Kim gives her a weak smile. "I'm glad to see you down here."

Angie looks up and gives her a baby wave.

"Hey." She waves back to Angela. "How're you?"

"I'm good," she reaches across the table to touch her hand. "How are you?"

[nita_callahan]

"I'm. . . okay, I guess."

[agirllost]

"Hey," she leaves Angela for a moment and slides next to Nita to give her a quick hug. Angie goes back to coloring.
