Faith's not certain what Kitty's plans for Edmund entail, but the phrase Won't be back for a while probably means it's gonna be good fun for both of them.

Never one to stand in the way of romance or intercourse, she has agreed to take Ed's bartending shift for the night.

Which is why she's behind the bar, clad in a very short red leather miniskirt and matching (backless) halter top, nervous and trying to hide it.

The specials board reads as follows:

"No, not really. I'm just rather distressed to discover I miss having a steady somebody. But--" He shrugs. "I'll manage."

"Ah."

Faith smiles sympathetically at him. "Sleeping alone sucks."

"Oddly enough, that has not been a huge problem." He fiddles with his drink.

"Ah."

Faith leans over the bar, a bit. "Need to talk?"

He shakes his head, but still says, "I don't know--I know know what Claire wants, I'm not sure what I want, thre's another bloke I'm reallllly attracted to but he doesn't--he doesn't do sex." He blinks in sheer noncomprehension.

"It's all very odd."

"...he doesn't do sex? At all?"

Faith boggles.

"He says he has no biology."

"...Raven?"

Charlie nods. "Silly, innit. Of me, I mean."

"Not really. He's hot," Faith says. "And nice. He turned me into a bird and we went flying."

"He is hot," Charlie agrees with another sigh. "And very nice. He made me this." He takes the leather necklace out of his shirt. "It's to help me sleep.

"And I do like blokes with wings." He sighs again. "Madness. Sheer madness."

Faith smiles sympathetically and leans over, kissing his cheek.

"You know I'm always here for you, for anything you want."

He grins, giving her a look. "I know, Faithful. I'm grateful."

"Good. That you know, I mean."

Faith bites her lower lip.

"I'm going with Liam to your father's trial."

Charlie nods. "He told me. I'm glad. I mean, I hate that this has to happen but I'm glad you'll be with him."

"He's been good to me. I'd hate to think of him facing that alone."

Charlie nods. "I wish I could too," he says quietly.

"I'll give him a nasty look just for you."

"A nasty look and a few of these?" He flips the bird, UK style.

"Oh, yeah. Lots of those. And the American sort too."

"That should get the message across." He sighs and rubs his face. "God. I haven't seen him since I was nine. I don't even know what I'd say if I did."

"'Rot in Hell, you bloody fuckbucket?'"

"Something like that, yes."

"I'll be glad to deliver the message."

"Thank you." Thinking about his father has not cheered him up any.
