David takes a seat at a table, a stack of books next to him. He isn't reading. He's just observing the people around with interest, particularly if they are eating.

He's not exactly sure he can say "I am a mecha" without saying it in those exact words.

The silence stretches out for almost a minute before Naraht breaks it with a suspicion.

"But then, Commander Data doesn't eat either. He's an android."

"An android is a being that looks like a human on the outside. But he's mechanical and has a brain made of circuits instead of organic neurons like other humanoids."

She smiles gently at him. "Commander Data is very special. I'm proud to know him."
