Giles was in the bar. He still had the book of Enochian magic, but there was also a book of binding rituals.
Also the Silmarillion, and a book on Sumerian rituals of binding as well.
There was also a bottle of scotch and a glass on the table. The bottle and the glass definitely look used.

Hmmm... dare you approach?

She nods at him and smiles.

"Not to be offensive Mr Giles" but she just can't help it. "Thats some heavy reading there." A pause. "Are you a warlock?"

Curious. Yeah she knows the story about the cat, just doesn't put any weight in it. Most of the time.

Giles snorted briefly, "Not exactly."

She blinks at him and smiles a little. "Ah."

"Sorry it just seemed like.." She shakes her head. "Nevermind. I keep forgetting that things are different from different worlds."

Giles nodded, "There are many differences, yes. Are there many magic practioners on your world? Mages, witches, etc?"

She nods at him a little.

"Yeah." A shrug. "there are vampires, werewolves, witches, sorcerers."

Her head tilts. "I'm a vampire executioner, and a Animator."

"Sounds very similiar to my world actually."

Giles added, "You mean, you hunt them? Do you have special abilities or powers to do so, or you trained yourself for this profession? And by what do you mean, an Animator?"

"Oh?" She blinks. "Do your's have legal rights?"

She's curious to see if there are any other worlds with that particular quirk.

Then she pauses. "Mmm..I hunt them. Well I did before Addison vs Clark..Now I have to wait for a warrent of execution or I could be brought up on murder charges." She blinks. "I have some special abilities that help with the job, but a lot of the Executioners don't..most of the Bounty Hunters don't" A blink. "Bounty hunters go after the terminally furry." Smile.

"Animators are..people who can raise the dead. Not bring them back to life, but make Zombies. It's my job, I get paid for it. We do it for various reasons, legal questions, closure, family history..it used to be a parlor trick and a anathema now it's a marketable skill. I'm a little bit more than a animator though I'm a necromancer."

Giles shook his head, "No, not normally, though there is a law firm who likes to speak on their behalf." His darkened expression gave his opinion on the matter, "They rather seem good company for each other, and deserve each other."

"But no, there is no need for warrents for stopping the vampires and demons on my world."

He frowned at that, "That is still considered anathema, and magic that bears a heavy price on the caster where I come from."

She pauses and nods. "Ah..yeah well ours have legal rights now, all the supernaturals do. Vampires can own property, go to court..they're trying to give them the vote now, because of taxation without representation."

She sighs and shakes her head. "The red tape can be a pain in the ass sometimes." If you heed it that is. Anita's not that good about heeding it all the time.

She tilts her head. "It's a natural ability where I come from. Either you have it or you don't..though if you will it away strong enough, it will dampen. But you still run the risk of being the Pied Piper of Roadkill."

Giles commented, "That must make things very difficult. We had joked about such an idea on our world. Luckily the government is still trying to deny their existence."

He simply listened to the second part, and nodded.

She chuckles and nods. "It is not as easy as it used to be. Before if you found a nest of them or a kiss..you just went in and took them out. We were still licensed to do it, but there wasn't anything stopping us."

"Can they control you with their eyes where you're from?"

"That is still how we operate." Giles remarked approvingly.

Remembering Drusilla, and there was that incident with Dracula showing up, and affecting Xander, Giles slowly agreed, "A few rare cases, yes."

She smiles. "The good old days."

A blink. "Really? it doesn't have to do with power levels?"

"Power levels, no. One apparently learned powers of mental manipulation and trickery from Gypsies, and the other was a seer who possesses some skill in mental control."

Another blink and then a nod.

"Huh..thats a common power where I'm from." She shakes her head. "Funny how the details change huh?"

Giles nodded, "I'm relieved it's not more common place then, some of their kind are difficult enough to defeat."

She nods at him. "It's one of their greatest weapons. If they roll you hard enough, they can call on you later find you where ever you are. It's like they get a piece of your mind."

She smiles. "Avoiding their eyes and judicious usage of crosses do a lot to help."

Giles paled some at that, and poured himself some more to drink. He belted it back.

"I can imagine, and such a possibility should never occur on my world."

She glances at the drink and then up at him and nods. "Those with magic, like me and some witches..and some furries if they are strong enough can resist. But your average human.." She trails off.

Giles nodded knowingly, "They would be defenseless."

She shrugs and then shifts.

"Yeah."

A pause. "I'm sorry for being depressing." She smiles. "I didn't mean to..I should leave you to your books. It was lovely meeting you Mr Giles."

"Yes, well, it distracted my mind from other troubling matters, so I thank you, Anita. Perhaps we can talk again when in better moods."

"Sure" She smiles at him.

"Any time you want Mr Giles." She nods and then heads up and away.
