Giles was in the bar. He still had the book of Enochian magic, but there was also a book of binding rituals.
Also the Silmarillion, and a book on Sumerian rituals of binding as well.
There was also a bottle of scotch and a glass on the table. The bottle and the glass definitely look used.
Hmmm... dare you approach?

And so, if Giles cares to look up, he will see one of the Fair Folk leaning casually against his table, fingers idly running over the neck of the bottle.

"Yes? May I help you?" He asked, still a bit testy. There was a definite whiff of alcohol on his breath, but he wasn't drunk. Not yet.

"Would it be taking too much on faith to wish you good even?"

He added as he gestured to the bottle with his eyes, "And would it be presumptous to ask if you want a glass as well?"
no subject
"Oh," he says, and adds by way of explanation, "I liked its shape."
A grin. "But a drink never goes amiss. And it may yet serve to improve your evening."

He got up to get another glass, but one appeared at the table. Well, that was useful. So he poured a generous finger of scotch in the second glass, and pushed it toward the strange being. He likewise poured a generous finger, or two in his own glass.
"That is my hope, it is not aiding just yet." Giles drank off a good portion of it after saying so.

"Well, I was referring to my company," he says with a grin, "but this isn't bad, either."

"I'm Anita" She doesn't give him the whole name, it's more than likely he wouldn't recognize it. So much for being a household name.
no subject
"Rupert Giles." He replied in return, and no, he didn't recognize it.

"Not to be offensive Mr Giles" but she just can't help it. "Thats some heavy reading there." A pause. "Are you a warlock?"
Curious. Yeah she knows the story about the cat, just doesn't put any weight in it. Most of the time.

*Without the music he is't nearly as approachable but Penny will try anyway.*
Hey, You okay?

Giles gave a small if taut smile, "Nothing that should concern you though. It is a personal matter."
no subject
Okay, I was just being polite.

As his mind touches that of a man reading a book, he senses his brother's touch. Námo turns his full attention on the man, approaching carefully, and speaks.
"I see that you have had the pleasure of meeting my wayward sibling," he says, his bottomless eyes flashing with annoyance.
