Giles was in the bar. He still had the book of Enochian magic, but there was also a book of binding rituals.
Also the Silmarillion, and a book on Sumerian rituals of binding as well.
There was also a bottle of scotch and a glass on the table. The bottle and the glass definitely look used.
Hmmm... dare you approach?

Leaning forward a little more, he asked, "What do you see?"

Puck considers. Then, eyes sparkling, he says, "... Tea. Tea, and stronger drink too. Incense. Musty pages, worn wood-- sharp things, somewhere, and magic that's not your own ..." A smile. "You keep your secrets well."
He tilts his head.
"Do I see aright?"

He drank some more, and evenly replied, "You do, almost too well."

"You asked. You surely know the dangers of asking, Rupert."

Giles asked, "You seem rather wise, Puck, and I suppose you know of many lessons? Do you consider yourself a teacher then?"
no subject
"Oh, rarely am I accused of wisdom," he drawls, "and am likely not fit to teach anyone.
"Is it you who calls himself a teacher?"

Giles nodded, still leaning forward, "I have been, among various functions and positions."
no subject
"Really? What other positions have you held?"

"Flexible?"

He finally answered, "...Yes, I've had to be as such, and can be so when the situation warrents it."

"Can you guess?"
no subject
"I probably don't have to."
no subject
"Clever."

"So I've been told."
