A wizard is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
Which is why the front door opens at this precise moment, letting in Gandalf the Grey.
He goes to the bar and has a seat, and begins to fill his pipe.

Oh yeah.
She knows this guy.
no subject
And nods. Politely.
He doesn't know her.
no subject
A wide grin.
"Can I buy you a drink?"
no subject
no subject
"Hi. I'm Death."
no subject
Long pause.
Very long pause.
Then:
"Lady."
He's still seated. It's a bow anyway.
no subject
"Howdy. How're you doin'?"
no subject
"I am well, thank you."
A little wondering.
"And you are the same, I trust?"
no subject
She really might be enjoying this more than she ought to.

She's beaming
"Can I buy you a drink? Did I ask you that already?"
no subject
Pause.
"And if you would like."
no subject
Still with the beaming.
This is great.

Gandalf looks distinctly...unsettled.
no subject
It appears. She pats it in appreciation, then slides it down to Gandalf.
"Are you alright? I can understand that this might come as a bit of a shock..."
no subject
Pause.
"You are above the Valar. And I am much less than a Vala. Far less."
no subject
"So. Little bit of a shock, then?"
no subject
Just the slightest hint of rueful amusement.
no subject
no subject
"It does."
And he looks a little amused. "Though perhaps you can understand, lady -- I serve. In a sense...I am always on duty, whether you are or not."
