*She smiles and hugs him, somehow managing not to stab him in the ear with a braid.*

*Alanna giggles.* I would have killed for one a few years ago. It would have made my life easier. *She lowers her voice.* What's the matter, Alan? Can't even grow a beard yet? You're just a pretty lad, not a man.
