"To hold the candies, you goof. Not made out of them."

Her Reese's Pieces are staying right in the bwol, where they belong.

Still grinning, Tahiri picks up her cards and looks them over carefully. "Normal rules apply, right? Nothing fancy?"

Jaina rolls her eyes, glaring at Tahiri for a moment.

She points towards the Reese's Peices bowl. "Better dump those out, too. We need that container." A smirk. "You can utilize that napkin fort, if you want.

"Normal rules'll work fine."

Sigh.

Tahiri grabs a handfull of napkins and arranges them in a little nest on her side of the table before filling it with candy.

The empty bowl is pushed over to join it's mate.

Then it's back to studying her cards.

Jaina flashes her a triumphant lopsided grin before pushing her M&Ms into a pile in front of her.

She picks up her cards and studies them briefly before glancing at Tahiri. "Bets?"

Tahiri tosses half a dozen candies into the hand pot.

She's practicing that sabacc face... her hand really isn't that good, but she might be able to pull something out of it later.

Jaina eyes the candies and Tahiri and then smiles, counting out twelve of her chocolates, placing them in the bowl.

"So, how have you been, Tahiri?"

"Pretty good, if cold." She throws another half dozen candies in the pot, matching Jaina's bet.

There's a bit of thoughtful lip-chewing as she debates what to discard. "Oh, I invited Ray to come watch a sabacc game the next time we have one. Hope that's okay."

Jaina nods, looking down at her cards again. "It snowed a couple of days ago."

She selects two cards and places them flat on the table, keeping her face neutral. "It's fine. Thinking of having another one sometime soon?"

Tahiri makes a face. "I saw. Totally ruins my outside exercises."

Though if a Master caught her saying that, they'd tell her to suck it up and go do them anyway. Because Jedi should be prepared for any environment blah blah blah.

She finally pulls a card out of her hand and drops it facedown on the table. "It'd be fun. I missed the last big one, after all."

"It looks nice," Jaina points out. "Anyway, you can still exercise outdoors. It's just colder."

She deals new cards to both Tahiri and herself and nods. "Maybe we'll post a sign up suggesting one. Wouldn't mind beating Janson in a game again."

"Cold is bad. Might get frostbite and lose toes, or something."

Tahiri picks up the new card and winces. Maybe if she gets lucky during the randomization phase...

"So what've you been up to?"

"Not if you dress properly."

Jaina shakes her head and looks down at her cards, grinning. Not bad. She throws five more candies into the betting pot.

"Nothing all that interesting. Spending time on the sims, training, relaxing. The norm."

"I'll ask Bar for something then."

Eh, five candies. Tahiri follows suit.

"That cheating nerfhearder still hanging around you 'cause he can't find a girl of his own?"

Jaina sighs and watches as one of her cards flickers and changes into another.

"He doesn't like it when you say things like that. Anyway, we spend time together because we're friends."

"Why else would I say it?"

Oooo, lookie there! Two of her cards have just gotten significantly better.

"So has Jag made it back yet?"

She frowns. Dryly, "Can't wait for the day when you two learn to act civil towards each other."

Although Jaina definately has her doubts that that day will ever come.

She shakes her head and discards the previously changed card, glancing down at her engagement ring for a moment and smiling. "He's been back for almost two weeks now."

Cheerily, "Don't hold your breath!"

Tahiri tosses a few more candies into the pot and holds onto her cards. "I bet the snow makes him feel at home."

"We won't." Jaina matches the other girl's bet, raising the bet by a few candies.

"Think it has. Sadly, he didn't really react when we tried covering him in it."

Tahiri matches her raise with a grin.

"Maybe if you try harder."

Jaina laughs. "We intend to. Plan on getting a rise out of him somehow this winter."

Blink. Blink.

"You know, I don't doubt that for a minute," she snickers. Wooo, mind inna gutter!

Jaina's eyes widen and her mouth opens as she stares at Tahiri in a sort of embaressed surprise.

"Kriff it, Tahiri, didn't mean it like that!"

"Then you shouldn'ta said it like that," she says reasonably.

And eats a few Reese's Pieces, just for the hell of it.

She grabs a handful of M&Ms out of the sabacc pot and shakes her head, the hint of a grin on her face.

"There'd be no point in saying that. It's pretty easy to get a rise out of him that way. Like to think we're an expert by now."

"Hey! Don't eat my winnings!"

Because she totally plans to win this game.

"Since you are marrying the guy yeah, I'd hope so."
