"Lando? Lando Calrissian?" Jaina smiles. "We know him."

A soft smile of fondness crosses her face, "Yes. As I said Iconsider him a friend." a chuckle, "Quite the businessman."

"How do you know him?" because having used his last name is a pretty good indication that she knows him.

"That's Lando," she answers with a chuckle.

"He's been like an uncle to us for most of our life. One of our father's closest friends."

"Lucky you. Who is your father?" she asks, hey if he's a close friend of Lando's she might have heard of him or can at least ask to meet him when she finally gets her visit to his world.

And then she remembers the Wookies and looks a littlesad. She needs to track him down and ask about that.

Jaina flashes her a lopsided grin. "Han Solo. Heard of him?"

"Met him actually, but he seemed a little young to have a daughter of you age. Haven't seen him in a while though."

Amanda chuckles as she thinks about how he almost tried to blast open a door in the wall.

Jaina bites her lip for a second, looking downward thoughtfully. "He's from a different time than us. Back home, Dad's much older."

"Ah, like Lando." Yep they've talked.

Eying the cards, "So are you going to deal?"

"Yep. Like half the people from our galaxy here."

Jaina nods, and deals five cards out to each of them. "Have something to bet with?"

"What currency do you use? And how much of it do you want to play with?" she knows that the Imperial credits is on it's way out in Lando's time and she doesn't know what it is being replaced with.

"Credits. But if you don't want to play for money, we could use one of those Earth candies."

Amanda considers for a moment, "I am fine with either." she says very non-chalantly.

"Alright. Credits, then."

She takes two napkins from the napkin holder and places them in the center of the table. "This one will be the sabacc pot. We'll each put a couple of credits in there to start off with."

She points to the other napkin. "That's the hand pot. You need a reminder of the rules?"

Amanda stands up and walks over to the bar and asks her to exchange the equivalent of $100 for credits and then comes back to the table.

"I could probably do with a reminder, thank you." she smiles.

"Just dealt each of us five cards. We'll place bets and then have an option to discard up to three cards, being dealt new ones in place. Bets, chance of randomization, and so on. Pure sabacc's plus or minus 23, or an Idiot's Array, comprised of the Idiot card, 2, and a 3."

She pauses, reaching for her milkshake and taking a long sip. "Make sense?"

Nooding in reply, "Yes" simple and to the point.

Amanda orders a cup of tea while wwaiting to be dealt. Her poker face is already on. she has dropped the smile ~~ignore icon.~~

Jaina grins and picks up the cards that she previously dealt herself, throwing a few credits into the hand pot.

Amanda picks up her cards and fans them open. She eyes them, and seems to be a pretty good hand so she tosses in a few credits in the hand pot as well. She takes care to study her opponent as much as the cards, her betting style and movements.

[OOC: okay, player doesn't know how to play. Is this like poker where if she wishes to play she must call Jaina's hand pot bet?]

Jaina watches as Amanda adds a couple of credits to the pot, the grin remaining on her face. She selects a card from her deck and places it down on the table.

"Care to discard?"

[OOC: I found a website with the rules to Sabacc. What I mean is that Amanda needs to match the bet that Jaina played in order to continue with play. So she either matches, raises, of folds]

"Two please" placing two cards from her hand face down.

[OOC: how are we going to play with regards to what their cards are?]

Jaina nods, drawing two cards from the deck and passing them to Amanda.

She then draws a card for herself, and throws a few more credits into the pot.

Amanda examines the cards and her opponent carefully. After a time Amanda doubles Jaina's bet.

Which Jaina matches.

"There a chance the cards will change somepoint soon," she warns.

And then grins when a couple of her own cards flicker and change.

She knows but that is what she wanted to do.

When her cards change her face remains emotionless. Naybe all that time with Mace is paying off because her cards just got a bit better. "So I noticed" she says clamly.

"Good."

Jaina throws a couple more credits into the pot.
