Behrooz is at the piano, idly playing through scales.

He looks somewhat tired, but more unfocused, thinking about something else. The dream he'd had the previous night plays in the back of his mind, and after a moment, he stops playing scales and starts the notes he can remember dimly from the background.

It's rather unsettling, but he doesn't show this.

"Me too, really," Logan says. "Which is why it gets so annoying when these two decide I need parenting."

He strokes the bar fondly, though, to show he's not serious.

"She can be a little vengeful, though," he says, still just eying in the bar. "I knew someone she dressed in a toga after he insulted her or something."

"And someone got turned into a clown for instigating violence," Logan says, shivering at the memory. "Talk about creepy."

((OOC: Must go grab dinner. Slowtime?))

"Might be better deterrent than the cells," he points out. Though a bar full of people dressed as clowns didn't really appeal to him, either.

"True enough," he agrees. "I'd be more scared of being a clown than in a cell. Could be just me, though."

He shrugs slightly. "The cells aren't that bad. It'd be less embarrasing."

Plus half the population of the bar's probably been down there, anyway, so.

So far, Logan has avoided them. He plans to keep it that way.

"Very true."

After a moment, he plays the last few notes again.

("Can you rebuke the wind?")

"Doesn't really seem to stop anyone, anyway," he says, after he finishes.

"Not so much," Logan says. "But it's stopped me so far, and that's to the good."

Not so much the threat of jail, no, but he hasn't had anyone to fight here.

This may change, when Weevil shows up.

He looks up again. "Have you ever really wanted to break the rules?" he asks. The three main ones seem pretty basic.

Though, the only people Behrooz want to hit in the bar could easily kill him with their minds or their hands, so...

Oh, but Weevil and Logan are more fun when they're... harassing English teachers together.

Aren't they though? Hopefully now they'll go back to harrassment, particularly Weevil's gang...

"No," Logan admits. "I mean, there was one time, Lilly and I got a little carried away, but it wasn't like I feel any burning desire to fornicate in public."

Pause.

"I've heard they've got rooms for that, anyway," he says, sarcastically. "Doesn't seem like it'd be as much of a problem as 'No Business' or 'No Violence.'"

Logan shrugs and grins. "Hasn't been so far. But business seems easy enough - take it to one of those rooms. Violence goes out back. That's the toughest, I guess, what with the whole temper thing."

"Or are still kind of angry about things that happened in their own worlds," Behrooz adds.

Beat.

"Or are just... really... psychotic." He uses this word instead of something like 'evil.'

"Let's go with all of the above," Logan suggests. The less time spent talking about psychotic-ness, the better, really. "Did you ever break the rules?"

"Not... really."

Yes. He does always have to be ambiguous.

... fine.

"I just... kind of covered up for someone who did."

Oh, wow, the piano keys are really fascinating right now...

"Was this someone worth it?" Logan asks quietly. It's a fair question, he thinks.

"More like, lie and say I don't know anything or... "

The unhappy ending is implied in his tone.

After a moment, "But... I'm pretty sure he sold me out first, so no, not really."

Logan scowls. "That sucks, man. Sounds like you fell in with some seriously bad dudes."

"Tends to happen if my mother is around," he agrees.

So, not entirely his ~~mun's~~ fault.

Logan nods. "Family can be like that," he says.

Pause.

"My sister showed up here. She's not psychotic, on the plus side, just sort of a freak."

He pauses.

"So... you're seeing how great it is when a lot of people from your world are here?" he asks, given that this is the second newly arriving person from his world Logan has mentioned.

"It's just fabulous," Logan says, rolling his eyes. "She's only the latest. After Veronica, we got Lilly's brother Duncan, and then my dumb-as-a-rock friend Dick. Actually, that's kinda an insult to rocks. I haven't seen any of them again, but just the fact that they showed up kinda sucks."

"I guess it's not much of an escape if your world comes here with you," he says. Though it's never really been much of an issue for him.

"It does," Logan says. "But hey, it's a big bar, and I'm sure I can manage not to see them for days."
