And heading downstairs from the direction of the sims is a Peacekeeper. She's been practising. So she takes a seat at a booth, orders some Ori-ohs (read as Oreos ^_^) and takes out her knitting from a large black bag. It looks like a sweater...sort of.

"That's a bit big for Andrei isn't it?"

There is a Guppy, wearing a fluffy jumper of his own.

"It's not for him." She could have given a totally snarky, interesting answer, but she's Aeryn.

Guppy sits down next to her.

"It's nice that you're making gifts for people. Really shows you care."

"I'm thinking of knitting some words onto this one. How about 'I don't care'?" Her smile betrayed the joke.

Guppy smiles. "Who's it for."

"Claire. I'm knitting her and Seth matching ones." Aeryn cursed and rectified her most recent mistake, sighing loudly at the needles.

"Though I haven't seen her in a while."

"That's sweet. You must have got a lot faster at knitting if you're going to finish both in six days."

"I've already finished the smaller one. This one is about halfway." Translation: I have got a lot faster, but if it fails horribly I can just pretend not to have gotten anything.

"Should keep them nice and warm certainly."

"How are you feeling?" Aeryn looked up momentarily, placing the knitting on her lap.

"And Abs?"

"I'm fine thanks."

He fidgets.

"The Abs here is elated because he's Unbound. The Abs currently on the same timeline as me, which is in fact the same person just two weeks later, is reeling from the shock of breaking up with Nina."

"The woman who hit me on the head?" Aeryn asked grumpily.

"For someone who hates violent women, he has strange taste."

Guppy nods. "She's ex-Army. She doesn't do that any more normally. Only if she needs to."

"So he's in love with an ex-military woman and he hates me because I kill when necessary?"

Neither of them understood the other. All Aeryn knew was she wanted to kill him some days and listen to his jokes on others.

"Aeryn, Abs does not hate you. He doesn't understand you. It's not the same. Didn't you see the way he looked at you at my party? He wants to build bridges with you but he doesn't know how."

"He was drunk at your party." Aeryn pointed out huffily.

"Not that drunk Aeryn."

She shifted, clearly embarrassed, before holding a plate of cookies out to Guppy.

"Ori-oh?"

"It's a what?"

He takes one and examines it curiously. You'd never know it was Earth food by the way he's looking at it.

"Thanks." he says, nibbling it first then eating it whole.

"Ori-oh." She repeated. "That's what Wes Janson called them."

"I knew it was a bad idea to dance with him at that party."

"Aeryn, he was just trying to... bond. Get to know you a bit. Get you to relax."

"I'm not good with people, Guppy."

She dissected an ~~Oreo~~ Ori-oh, slowly and deliberately.

"I'm not good at being nice either."

"As far as I can see, before I got attacked the two of you were getting on rather well."

Aeryn shrugged. "I'm not sure. I couldn't, still can't, read him."

"To be honest, I wouldn't even try. Unless you catch him seriously off-guard or strained, you're not going to get anything from his body language. He studies the stuff. Even if you pick some up there's no guarentee it's not consciously initiated with him."
