There was a slightly violet deity by the fireplace, wearing a warm and brightly purple sweater, drinking a hot beverage almost totally but not quite entirely unlike chocolate from a violet mug, and reading a supernatural detective novel the cover of which was black and lurid purple.

Shortly before Christmas, Asar-Suti remembered last year and went for creature comforts.

"Sometimes, you have to put up with bad sex for a purpose," Asar-Suti sighed, thinking of all the Cheysuli his followers had occasionally had to seduce or force for the purposes of the Ihlini. He was sure Strahan hadn't enjoyed Keely, or Lochiel Blythe, any more than Námo and Nerdanel were going to enjoy each other.

"At least, you have good sex to go back to afterwards," he added.

This time his smile is true.

"Yes, I do. I find I am learning new passions each time I lay down in bed!"

"Only poor Nerdanel has nobody - but then, I don't know all that much about elvish passions, so I don't know if she misses it, or would have it if she could," Asar-Suti mused.

Námo's smile fades.

"You are correct. I would not speak to her about such a thing, but perhaps you would. She will need someone when we are done -- if nothing more than comfort, I believe."

He knows he will need Gorlim and Lee when it is done.

"I will speak to her about that, then," Asar-Suti said. "I don't know much about elves and sex, as I said, but I am sure that Gil and I can provide some sort of comfort, if she doesn't decide to let her son's music distract her."

"It is good she has friends and choices."

There is a sense of relief in him that Asar-Suti, Gil and Maglor would be there for her. He also knows the Gorlim would be, as well, if Námo did not need him.

"She has, and I will do what I can for her, as will the others, I am sure. So she has what she needs, and you as well," Asar-Suti said.

"Thank you," he says, the gratitude thick in his voice.

He takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly.

"I need to go find Lee. I have not seen him for a couple of days, and I have begun to worry about him. Will I see you again before Wednesday?" he asks as he rises from his chair.

"I think I will be around, my friend," Asar-Suti said, nodding.

He smiles at him. "Good. Again, thank you. I hope all of this ends up for the better," he says quickly, nervously, before bowing to Asar-Suti. "I will see you again soon."

Námo sets off, walking through the bar, seeking out one of his wayward lovers.

Asar-Suti watched him go, and decided he would offer Nerdanel any help he could, afterwards.

Perhaps Gil might think of something as well...
