There was a slightly violet deity by the fireplace, wearing a warm and brightly purple sweater, drinking a hot beverage almost totally but not quite entirely unlike chocolate from a violet mug, and reading a supernatural detective novel the cover of which was black and lurid purple.
Shortly before Christmas, Asar-Suti remembered last year and went for creature comforts.

"You are my friend; unless there is a true emergency, I will always have time for you," he declared.

"I wished to speak to you of Nerdanel. And a child," he begins hesitantly.

He was a bit torn on this issue - both of them were firends he liked very much. So was Maglor. He could see both their points in this.

He says this with an even voice and steady eyes.
"She came to me a few nights ago and offered to do this with me. I was shocked, and after speaking with Gorlim and Lee, I have chosen to accept her terms."

"What worked, Asar-Suti?"

Noting Námo's honest astonishment, he added, "Sorry, my friend, I can't help being a devious Ihlini god..."
no subject
"I never expected her to offer, Asar-Suti..."
Devious? Asar-Suti? Never!
no subject
That said, he didn't have much reason to do devious in the bar, any more.
"I did," he said, with a little apologetic grin.

"She wishes to return to Aman on Thursday. Allow the pregnancy to take hold in our lands. Then she will return."

He pulled a piece of paper (http://www.livejournal.com/community/ways_back_room/1750592.html) from the back of his book, and waved it at Gil. "Did you get one as well, or did she rely that whichever of us gets it first will tell the other?"
no subject
"Oh that looks fun. I'll wear a vest though, it might be cold."
no subject
He handed the piece of paper to Gil. "It doesn't sound too formal, does it?"
no subject
He grinned at Sooty. "I can imagine that," he said. "You in purple camo (http://somethinggreek.com/images/Purple-Camo600.jpg)!"
no subject
"I think that might be unexpected fun," Asar-Suti said. "Also, we could make ourselves warm jackets from that pattern, with sheepskin collars and the works, so perhaps it would be a fun option?"
He shrugged, and added. "Alternatively, just warm comfortable clothes, huh? Or I could always wear Ihlini robes and a cloak of fake black mountaincat fur, and you the customary wizard clothes from your world?"

In fact, he found Gil very lovely in any clothes or shape. But the appeal of a stiped apron tied around a faun midriff, with a little tail sticking out behind, would be lost on most people...
