"Oh things are as they always are. Sometimes good sometimes not. At the moment though things are going well. How about with yourself?" She is no longer paying attention to her book but it still rests comfortably in place.

'Things go very well with myself, thank you.' He slumps relaxedly. 'The half of the world consisting of my friends is peaceful and happy, the half consisting of my enemies is at war and meticulously slaughtering the rest of my enemies. Things really couldn't be better.'

He polishes his fingernails casually on the front of his doublet. 'And needless to say, business is good. Been keeping busy yourself then? Training and whatnot?'

"That is always adventagious. TO have one's enimes taking care of themselves." she grins with wicked approval.

"So I can see. And yes I've been keeping busy. Mostly behaving myself. Training daily despite the cold. Once the forest thaws out we should play again." she did so enjoy that day. Other then the part where she fell.

'It really is good of them,' he agrees. 'I should send a card to show my gratitude.'

He waves a rat over and orders some spiced wine. 'Would you like a drink? And certainly we should, it never hurts to keep in practice. Although I tend to make it a habit to stay firmly indoors when things get this cold.'

"Why thank you. I could use an irish coffee please. That is a wise practice. However it is worth my wild to train in the cold. It's a healthy practice for keeping my head."

"Oh, speaking of cards. Did you by chance get my invitation?"

He sends the rat on its way, then shakes his head. 'Invitation? No I'm sorry, I've not been to the bar yet.'

Fell straight into a comfortable chair and let the rats come to him. Lazy day today.

'Why, what's going on?'

Amanda hasn't had one of those days in a while. Maybe after the holidays.

"Well I don't know if you know about Christmas but it's a holiday that is celebrated on Earth. So I am throwing a Christmas party on Saturday night out by the lake. It will be in an insolated tent to keep out the cold and there will be heaters. It starts around 8 o'clock. You are of course invited."

'Oh. Christmas - no, I don't know it. It's the Erastide festival where I come from though, maybe it's similar. I should be glad to come I think - what day is Christmas here?'

"The Party is on Christmas eve which is this Saturday." she is pleased that he will be coming, "What is your favorite food?"

'Christmas Eve.' He tries the sound of the words. 'Hmmm, well then yes, I can come. Erastide is two days from now so I'll be free on Saturday.'

He takes their drinks from the rat and hands Amanda's to her. 'There you go. And my favourite food is...' He's never really thought about it before. '...I don't know. I like meat, if that helps.'

"That is fabulous. I will definitely have meat at the party." she is excited though it;s hard to see since she can't get up. THough she is considering going out for a run. This is going to be a great party. She just hopes that Sooty and Gil can come.

'Will there be many people?' He hopes so, he likes big gatherings. 'And is it an affair to dress for, or will casual clothes suffice?'

"Casual will suffice. And I hope so. I've invited over 40 people thus far but haven't heard back from all of them. I think I have about 12 confirmed now. Which isn't bad since I sent the invites out yesterday."

'Well, there's plenty of time.' He grins at her. 'I don't see why anyone would want to miss it, it's the time of year for celebrating, after all. I'll certainly be along. Do I need to bring anything?'

"Just yourself. And if you like you can bring a friend. Thats in the invitation too."

'Oh, right. Well I might just do that then.'

He stands and offers a small bow. 'I'll wish you good night Amanda, I have to go and find Gimli. If I don't see you before, I'll see you at the party - and thank you for the invitation.'

He smiles and wanders off, whistling happily to himself. He likes Erastide.
