Windows 95 waits for her opponent, her face stony. She seems unaffected by the cold night air.

"Ah, thank you..." She bows, then checks her hand. "I suppose I'm not completely out of practice," she adds, producing a roll of bandages.

"I simply did what had to be done."

Tim eyes her.

"Not at all. Why did you fight?"

Her face darkens. "He said a bad thing about Meg-chan, and then he cast aspersions on my honor. I could not allow such things to pass."

"Excellent. Indeed you could not."

Tim snaps hsi fingers, and there is mending, to her clothes at least. After all, mending is a 0 level spell.

"Hunter-san, what-" She stares as the rip sews itself up. And then keeps going, the sleeve hole starting to close itself. "Kya!" Her hand retreats into the sleeve quickly.

"Ack, no, no!"

He snaps again, stopping the spell.

"Er, sorry, thought I could handle that,"

"d-daijobu..." She smiles apologetically, drawing out a pair of scissors and cutting the sleeve open again.

"It's... magic, you see. I'm just not made for it."

He blinks.

"It always goes wrong on you?"

"Laini-san is trying to see if her kind will work properly," she says, still a bit embarrassed by the whole situation, "I haven't had any suitable outcomes previously when magic was used on my person, however. It makes things rather difficult."

"Hmm."

He thinks about this.

"Does it always enhance it?"

"Enhance?" She thinks this over. "Ano... the other time that I experienced magic, I was operating something Svava-san had, designed to call up happy memories. I..." She puts a hand to her head. "I am not certain what happened, but I seemed to be no longer experiencing things as they were, and then I... froze."

"Huh."

He shrugs.

"Raph used to have magic allergies too. S'why he's a human."

"Raph... I don't believe I have met that person. Was he not a human before?"

"Nope, he was a turtle. He's one of the oldest security members."

"So desu ne? How old is he?"

'Oh, younger then me. I mean, he's been on it the longest."

"Ah, I see..." She nods. "Was it because he was a turtle?"

"Huh?"

Tim just got himself confused.

"His problem with magic," she specifies, "Was it because he was not human?"

"Oh!"

Tim thinks about this, then shakes his head.

"Naw, naw, it's cause his reality was a little twisted."

She tilts her head. "Twisted? Did somebody bend it?"

"Er..."

Tim stares blankly at her.

"Possibly? It's not a normal style of universe."

She frowns, thinking on all those other people who only know her kind as boxes. "Did he have the same problem I do?"

"Yes. I tried to fix his paint job, and it screwed up. then someone else tried to fix my fix, and he turned human."
