There is an assassin passing by, also with coffee. Coincidence, that.

"Good afternoon, Faith."

"Hey."

Faith pulls herself up to a seated position, smiling at him. "How's it going?"

"Well enough, thank you. And with you?"

Yes, of course he's aware that 'well enough' could mean anything.

"Busy. But good, mostly."

"I am glad to hear it," he nods politely.

Michael wanders over, now, case of papers in his hand.

"Hey, guys."

"Hey."

Faith makes room for him on the couch, grinning.

"Buried under paperwork again, Oh Mighty General?"

Havelock nods respectfully to Michael.

"General."

His title is not mocking.

Michael drops onto the couch, wearily.

"When am I not?"

"Fair point."

Faith puts an arm around his shoulders, sympathetically.

Havelock nods quietly.

"I understand it is a drawback of rank. Do you not have anyone who may assist you?"

"Oh, yeah, I've got secretaries. But a lot of it I can't really delegate. Shelley keeps stealing that stuff anyway, but I haven't seen her for awhile." He frowns slightly.

"I haven't seen her either."

Faith tilts her head at Michael, a little worried. "You think she's gone back to her world?"

Havelock glances from one to the other.

Oddly enough, he has never met Shelley.

"Would she say so, if she had?"

"Not sure. Not if she wasn't expecting to be gone long, maybe..."

"Still, her world isn't safe...it's a lot like mine, really."

Faith's definitely worried.

Havelock puts down his mug calmly.

"Is there anyone you might ask, to be sure?"

"I don't think anyone else comes here from her world", Michael says, still frowning.

Faith shakes her head.

"A couple people have, in the past, but not recently, no."

Havelock looks thoughtful.

"Well. How long has she been gone that you know of?"

Michael thinks for a moment.

"I haven't seen her for at least two weeks."

"I think it's been longer than that, for me..."

Havelock nods slowly.

"You say her world is... dangerous. How? Can she not take care of herself?"

Havelock is used to immortal or superpowered beings and other assassins.

"She's human. Unpowered."

Faith nods agreement.

"She had a slight case of zombie, once, but she's over it now."
