One Drug Lord, lazing about the place and cleaning a couple of swords. One regular one and one rather filled with magic.
No, he really doesn't have anything better to do.
He's also - some people will be glad to know - leaving in a couple of days, for a while. If you want a chance to meet him/bitch him out/throw things etc, now would be a good time.

Sometimes he wishes he could shift whenever he felt like it. But he's really just glad that he's got the ability at all, he's not about to complain.
'I chose to go into the cells - I need to tie up loose ends before I leave here. Things have changed for me and I can't have past things coming back to bite me in the ass later - better to just get them out of the way I think.'
no subject
"Past things are always a pain to deal with. Though that still doesn't really explain why." Really it isn't a push for an answer, just her making a statement.
no subject
'I've been given a...well, job, of sorts. Protecting a friend of mine and his family. I have to do it for a very long time, and I don't really have a choice in the matter. So it would be pretty stupid if one of the things I've done in the past reared up to stop me from doing what I have to, you know? Better to get a clean slate with security here.'
no subject
She gives him a curious raise of her eyebrows. "Protecting a friend and his family? That's a lot of responsibly. I wish you luck with that." She should know, she tried protecting her family/pard at one point. She failed...

'Si. But Arithon's a good guy and he tends to be able to look after himself as well. I just need to lighten the load as much as possible, and keep him safe. And his wife, and kids when they come along. Help him run his kingdoms - that'll be interesting, to say the least.'
Ramon's never protected a damn thing in his life. Except himself and his business. Whether he turns out to be any good at it, is a different thing.
'You must get bored as hell around here.'
no subject
She gives him a smile. "I've meet Arithon. He seemed nice when I met him. Running a kingdom? Sounds interesting."
"I do, but I manage. There's a forest and a lake that I can explore. Plus books, and I have a laptop, as well as a few friends." She gives a shrug. "I'm slightly dreading the day I see a door. Everyone back home will think I've lost my mind when I return with the 'new' me." The last is stated with an amused grin because while it will be hard at first, it should prove to be amusing.

There's a soft shrug. "Since being shot three times through the heart and coming here, I've changed. For the better I think, though I had help from some friends."
no subject
In some ways anyway.
'Not that there's anything wrong with being cold-hearted or sadistic.' He would say that. 'Who shot you through the heart?'
no subject
She looks down playing with her fingers. "The leader of my leopard group. She doesn't stand up with the strength because of the whole being human part. And it was the only thing she could come up with that would make me listen to her and know that she's serious I guess."
no subject
Makes sense to him anyway. He doesn't think much about pain.
'She shot you three times in the heart because she wanted to get your attention about something?' He pulls out a cigarette and lights it. 'I'd have killed her.'
no subject
She gives him a look that might suggest that he should try it sometime. Really.
"She was pissed that I left one of the group members at a club alone. Along with half a dozen other things I did to piss her off."
She shakes her head. "Can't kill her. not with half a dozen leopards there willing to protect her."
no subject
'So why not kill the protecting leopards first?' He has a very pragmatic approach to taking out a target, i.e Just kill everything around it until you get the one you want.
'Or, I don't know...coat nails in silver, make a nail bomb and throw it at the whole lot of them.'
New and inventive ways to murder things - he should write a book. But he's only talking for the sake of it really. He couldn't care less whether Elizabeth takes revenge or doesn't.
no subject
"Because those that are protecting her are technically my family. And you don't kill family."
The book would be dangerous should anyone else read it though. She's past the point of taking revenge. Especially since she's seemed to smooth most of it over since coming to the bar.
no subject
But yes. Ramon is good at killing things.
'You don't kill family? No, I suppose not.'
Ask him about that when he gets back from canon. His views will have changed. Oh yes.
'But then, what sort of family would carry on protecting someone that shot you throught the heart three times?'
no subject
She tilts her head with a look that answers the question with a deadly glare. "Not if it's all you have."
Sadly, Elizabeth's mun still needs to see season 3. She she has no clue what so ever what's going on in his canon.
"The kind that is partially afraid of having the same treatment done to them, as well as being too submissive to do a damn thing about it." Not that she can blame them. It's how the pard was kept for so long.
no subject
And yes, that hill would indeed be hilarious to fall down.
'Depends if it's what you need really, I suppose.'
He's never set much stock in getting close to people, not even his own family. A bit different here in the bar of course, but that can't be helped.
'They sound weak. Why would you want to class them as family then? They're only more likely to end up getting you killed.'
no subject
"Well since we're outcasts of society already, yea, it's something I need."
She won't say anything about the whole physical need for closeness with other shifters from her world. Too personal a thing.
"Because the wolves would slaughter us if we didn't stick together." Well, Richard might be too nice to slaughter them, though several of the pack wouldn't object to it being secretly done.
no subject
Ramon shrugs at her. 'I'm technically a criminal and have been all my life - ao I've been on the outskirts of society all my life. It doesn't automatically equate to needing to hang around with others like you.'
He picks up a cloth again and starts rubbing over the regular sword. 'And if you're that worried about wolves, just attack them first.'
no subject
She sighs softly. "There's more than just being similar that keeps me with them. It's a metaphysical thing dealing with the beast that resides inside me." Gotta love metaphysics.
She watches the sword idly. "Wolves have a larger number and are a lot more powerful then us. It wouldn't fall in our favor. Trust me."
no subject
She gets a very strong WTF? look for that. 'Care to explain that? Metaphysical? What?'
He looks at her watching the sword, and smiles. Now that he's been given the knowledge of how to fight well, he enjoys them.
'Then be creative. You've got human shape as well as cat - you could wipe every last wolf out if you wanted to.'
no subject
He gets a shrug. "Not really clear on it all myself. But when I'm away from other shifters like me, I get lonely. Like depressed lonely. There's something about the higher body heat and the fact that they have a beast in them too."
She doesn't use swords, but again with the shiny comment. That and the whole drifts towards sharp objects.
"Well, right now, I'm becoming friends with the wolves, so the need to wipe them out, not big on my agenda."
no subject
He shrugs though. It's not like it bothers him what she does. And then he's standing and packing up the cloths and oil he was using, sheathing the weapons.
'It's getting late, I have to go. I'll see you around Elizabeth.'
no subject
She nods at him, giving one last glance to the sheathed weapons.
"Good night Ramon."
