(no subject)

Mun's never done a multipup post before, so here's to new experiences.

A man and a woman are having breakfast at a table. The man has chosen a seat with a very good view of the door, which he is watching like a hawkbat. Jaina said she would be back soon, but "soon" could be days or weeks or who knows how long.

Jag's never been in Milliways without her before, which is part of the reason he's hanging around Tahiri this morning.

As for the aforementioned blonde, she's picking at a bowl of fruit and browsing idly through Master Windu's accounts of Jedi history. The parts about the Clone Wars are rather interesting. She's got her lightsaber and Security badge but isn't particularly alert for trouble, seeing as the ghostcurse thing has been dealt with.

[OOC: Feel free to tag, but specify if you only want one of them. Otherwise, please wait for responses from both.]

"I don't know," Atton shrugs, grinning at the fruit and putting it back in the bowl. "Doesn't matter, really, because Aeryn is going to be fine," He may be talking to Jag or he may just be talking to himself. As an afterthought, he adds: "And Jaina too."

"Nobody's going to get killed or eaten," she says, more for Jag's benefit than anything. "Jaina knows how to take care of herself. Aeryn too."

She reachs for another fruit, careful to pick one Atton hasn't touched.

"'Course they aren't," Atton says quickly. "Probably eat them alive if they did anyway."

He coughs.

"Nah, they didn't. Aeryn said she'd be back before we knew it, though."

Tahiri facepalms. "Atton, if you get him worked up enough to start drinking, I'm putting him on your tab."

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, they'll be fine," Atton nods, very quickly. "It's not like they haven't done things like this before. And they're practically cannibals anyway, so they'll fit right in," He frowns, because he's not certain why he said that. "In a strictly metaphorical sense, erm. Yes."

At the mention of tabs;
"I should really send my tab to the Disciple," Atton murmurs to himself. "It's only fair."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Who's this Disciple guy you keep talking about?" Tahiri breaks in, trying desperately to change the subject away from Jaina-Aeryn Doom and Gloom.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"He's the leader of the remains of the Jedi Order," Atton says. "And a complete and utter kriffer."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Tahiri glances down at Master Windu's datacards once more. "Leader of the Order, you say? What timeline were you from again?"

Maybe Master Windu's got a record of it in here somewhere. Probably not, but maybe.

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's not so much an Order as a group of dancers from Telos, a stuffed nerf and a farmer from Dantooine with multiple personalities," Atton replies with a shrug. "I'm from roughly four-thousand years before Wes."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Tahiri puts the datapad down again. There's nothing that far back, from what she can tell. "Oh, right."

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Atton snickers at their reactions.
"Not that long, really," He grins. "Well, it is."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"More than four times longer than Master Yoda lived," Tahiri responds. "And he's the oldest being I've ever heard of."

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"Kriffing hells, he lived for a thousand years?! What the kriff?"

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nine hundred actually, if you believe Master Skywalker's stories." Tahiri shrugs with a grin. "He wasn't human, but I don't think Master Skywalker knew what species he was. Tiny and green with big sticky-out ears."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey," Tahiri says defensively, "I'm just repeating what Master Skywalker told us. Yoda was a powerful Jedi... probably why he lived so long in the first place, even if it wasn't a species thing."

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"Kriff, he must have been senile by the end."

[identity profile] shaped-jeedai.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"He was sane enough to train Master Skywalker," she replies. "Though that would explain why things are so kriffed up in the Order now."

[identity profile] stuck-mynock.livejournal.com 2006-03-05 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Things are always kriffed up in the Order, unless they're being systematically killed as apparently they so often are," Beat. "In which case things are very dead in the Order."
