Sam walks in the front door, a bag in her hand. She goes up to the bar and takes out her check book and neatly makes out a check for her tab and Andrew's tab.

After depositing that, she orders a milkshake and goes and sits down somewhere, so she can rest. Mumsies to be shouldn't walk around all day!

Jaina stumbles in to a nearby chair, cplacing the crutches on the ground next to it.

She shrugs and smiles sheepishly. "Something like that."

Sam shakes her head. "Silly girl." She beams. "So, other than that, how are you?"

Jaina leans back further in the chair, shrugging again. "Better than we were doing a few days ago. But I think everything worked out for the best."

"Good." Sam smiles. "Always a good feeling."

"Yeah. It is."

She wants to mention the fight to Sam, but she's not sure how to bring it up. Instead she just grins, stopping a passing waitrat to order a glass of Whyren's.

"How are you doing, Sam?"

Sam pats her stomach, not quite flat, but not quite a bump there yet. "I'm good. Gaining weight. Eating for two now, you know."

Jaina chuckles. "We know. Enjoying it at all?"

"Oh yeah." Samantha nodded. "Loving it all"

"That's good to know."

Aside from her aunt, Jaina's never really spent much time around pregnant females. And, well, Mara's situation was unique.

"How far are you along?"

"Eight weeks." Sam beams. "The baby is about this big." She holds her fingers an inch apart.

Jaina nods. "And doing fine?"

"Yes. As far as we can tell." Sam nods.

"That's great, Sam."

Sam nods. "Yeah...I know. So you'll totally be godmom when the time comes, yeah?"

Jaina looks at Sam in surprise, and then flashes her a bright smile. "Really?"

"Duh. You're my best friend here, Jaina." Here. Home. Everywhere.

Sam smiles. "I'd think you'd be great."

"We'd love to then," Jaina replies sincerely, beaming at Sam. "It would be an honor."

"Great." Sam beams. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

At this point, the waitrat returns with her glass of Whyren's and Jaina takes a long sip.

"Do you have someone to be the godfather yet?"

Sam shakes her head. "No...I'm thinking of either Raph or Arthur."

Another nod. "Is Andrew getting any say in this?"

"No. But I'm sure he doesn't mind, as long as it's one of them. Probably wants Raph. Which is fine. As long as Raph isn't an ass. Again."

"Does this mean Jag and I will be allowed to babysit?"

"Of course!" Sam beams. "When I'm done holding my baby all the time."

Jaina chuckles and grins. "Deal."

She takes a sip of her whisky, adjusting her hurt leg. "Speaking of Jagged. We got into a fight, Sam."
