Draco is not scared.
What he was, cunning, ambitious. A true Slytherin.
Hence he was outside again, alternating between knife fighting tactics, broom maneuvering moves, Animagus practice, and other spying/stealth strategies. Did this have to do with events last night? Or on-going events back in the Wizarding World?
Possibly.
But Draco was not scared.
Right...

He is, however, concerned. He watches closely as Draco works with his blade, eyes narrowing slightly as he notes the tension in his limbs as he strikes.
Finally, he leaves the eaves and wanders over. He doesn't interrupt though. That's a frightfully rude thing to do in the middle of someone's kata.
He waited over a week for the terrorists to strike. He can wait for his student to finish.

He finally noticed Ranger nearby, and gave a cool nod. Almost like a prince recognizing a visiting dignitary.

"Very good," he says. "Although I would recommend relaxing a little more in the process. Keeping the muscles that tense will slow your strike...and worsen any injury you may have the misfortune to take in a fight."
He paces over to the tree and examines the blade for a moment before pulling it out.
"Not a weapon I am accustomed to using, but well made," he says, hefting it in his hand, checking the balance. "I prefer one with slightly more reach. But I suppose my training has biased me."

Draco remarked, "It's mainly for attacks in place where I can't use magic. Was informed that it's better to be versatile in one's strategy."
no subject
A quirk of an eyebrow. "I can see that you've mastered your Animagus ability fairly well. At least to this amateur's eye."
no subject
"Thank you. Mainly potions, and diversionary tactics as well. Ones for stealth, quickness." Like a spy or an assassin.
no subject
"I see...is there urgent need for these talents?"

"Depending on it's specific nature, perhaps I should be making preparations as well."
His hand dips into a fold of his robes and emerges with a rather thick metal cylinder. "That is, after all, one of my duties."

.... or maybe he gets distracted by a reasonably distinctive flash of colour.

He was still practicing his moves with the dagger, sweeping motions that worked well with his lithe frame and body.
no subject
... anyway. Quinn stays a fair distance off. Just because the kid screamed like a girl is no reason not to assume he can't throw that thing and land it somewhere that'll really hurt.
no subject
Draco hadn't noticed him just yet. Not until he finished, and re-sheathed the dagger.
"Oh, you again. Keep your soddin' dragons and magic-less world to yourself this time!" Yeah, he's still sounding like an insufferable git, isn't he?
no subject
He's not going to bring up the rest of it. That's already been hashed to death enough times for Quinn's liking.
"Got much call for the use of the dagger? I'd've thought someone in your position would've been practising with the wand instead."

By the way, Ninjas tossing hats are dangerous.
Ninjas tossing hats with one hand and a camera in the other are just bad news.
no subject
There was panicked flailing, and hurried fumbling for a wand however.
Yet, those Ninjas...Damn their aim is smooooth, because the hat just landed right on his head anyway. So Mike will have a lovely picture of Draco in mouse ears with an absolute bugfuck expression of exasperated horror on his face.

"Sweet! Two for two! I rule!"
no subject
Draco was too stunned to comment, so he just stalked off. Rather like his favorite professor.
And yes, still wearing the mouse ears.
Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me?
D R A C...O M A L...F O Y?!?
no subject
The smile falls.
"oh boy
HEY! HEY KID! WAIT UP, WOULD YOU? KIIIIIIIIIID!"
no subject
"What now?" Well, it was supposed to sound all mighty and superior, but it sounded more like an annoyed whine. But hey, he stopped at least!

Mike brims with good-nature.

He tore the hat off of his head, leaving wisps of pale blond hair sticking up a little, and stared at it, "Bloody silly Muggle thing." No, he doesn't know Disney.
