((OOM: Things improve.))
There is a rather stunned looking man standing in the doorway of Milliways. He hasn't seen the place for almost a year and a half and it's ... exactly as he remembered it to be, even if he spent quite a bit of time insisting to himself that it could have been some elaborate hallucination.
At any rate, more about him. His hair is trimmed, though somewhat touseled, and he appears to be wearing a khaki uniform and heavy overcoat of the same colour. The sleeves are rolled up and he is dirty.
Dusty is perhaps a more accurate term. The thick goggles are a hint at what he's just come from - his motor bike is parked just outside in the background.
He is blinking. "Well, this certainly isn't the motor shop."
It's hard to tell if he's really bothered by this. The grin on his face suggests that it is in fact a smaller blessing than a curse.

"Yes, quite." He seems in a general better mood.
Even if his uniform is misbuttoned and untidy.

"Where've you been, looking like that?"
no subject
He grins. Honestly, it's from nothing remotely sexual - he's secretly a scruffy officer-type. The robes make things like that less obvious.

Shakes her head, tuts.
"Bad example."
no subject
"Honestly, it's not my fault. Really." He's never been a very good liar.
"I have a problem buttoning my shirts, is that what you're saying?"
no subject
Shakes her head.
"Honestly, one would think you did it on purpose."
no subject
"That's preposterous, Mal."
He removes his glasses - there are clear dust marks all over his face but over his eyes.
Oops.

"I'd recommend cleaning up, a little."
no subject
He wipes meaningfully at the dust lining his cheeks and then sets his glasses down calmly on the table.

Fishes in her pocker for a handkercheif.

"Nothing horrible happened while I was gone?"
no subject
And shakes her head.
"Got in a minor argument with Sands - oh, and got invited to Earth!"

Big grin.

He rubs down his shirt a tad.

He doesn't remember exactly, however.

"I think that we've met, yes."

Moves a couple steps forward, hesitating. Not sure how comfortable he'll be with her.
no subject
"All right, then?"
no subject
"Who, me?"
no subject
After a moment, he curls an arm around her shoulder. It's only slightly awkward - but hey, it's been over a year.

Snuggles a little deeper, with only the slightest frown. She misses his robes.
no subject
"You're going to get quite dirty, Mal." But he's not objecting to the snuggling.
