She doesn't look innocent when she sleeps. Far from in fact, she's curled far more akin to a hound than a human, cheek cradled on her towel. Her wet hair is spread in the grass like blood, her scarred back turned towards a small fire that leaps and jumps tiredly in the growing night.
There's a plate with lunch on it as well, a sandwich with a few bites taken, a bit of fruit...it seems that the call to sleep was too great after her swim though...so, Rachel is asleep by the lake, there's room enough at the fire for more though.

Was, because now he's doing some night-plotting.
Which ends in him landing a few yards away from Rachel's plate. He peers at the woman to see if his arrival awakened her.

He eyes the area, then hops over to the sandwich. He swallows the top piece of bread with an ulp! He eyes the human as he goes in for the filling. Hmm, she has such nice long hair. Humans don't like their hair getting messed with, right?

Ah, and yes, such nice long hair...spread over grass and twigs and dirt...

Or perhaps hellish would be better applied to the images that tease and dance in those flames, drawn from nightmares nearby. It doesn't matter though, they fade quickly as Rachel opens her eyes.

They may still hold images though, pictures leaking from the sleeping girl, passing nightmares...

*The look on Yrael's face is blessedly soundless.*
*He is sure to totally dry his foot on the grass as he wanders over to sprawl beside Rachel.*

*Eh, he'll dry.*
*Mun makes excuses that girl in icon is not Rachel, but it's the only appropriate one for this.*

When he sees it's Rachel, he smiles softly and creeps up, curling up beside her. He won't wake her, but offers comfort to his Pack-mate.

She does cuddle cloe though, whimpering mentally...

From Mithrill Hall into the night,
a darkness shared, the daylight earned,
In sunrise skies, the lavender eyes burned,
He shall return seeking friends, In battle shared a soul that blends,
The astral panther by his side, to Milliways he shall abide,
to friends old and to friends new,
I shall return the Drow you knew::
[OOC: I should have internet back by the end of this week the next at the latest.... I hate moving.

At some point perhaps, there may be a light blanket draped across her. It isn't as much for warmth, he knows how warm she stays, but he also knows that he likes having a thin blanket even when he is warm. It's a comfort thing. And so she has a blanket, and she also has an Archie sprawled on the grass nearby, his hands behind his head, just staring up at the sky. It was what he was going to do anyway when he noticed her there.

It seems she sleeps easier out here, something she already knew, but it's worth noting.

He barely notices the shift in the fire, he's looking upward. It's been a long time, he's getting a little land-mad. He's looking forward to taking Nathan up on his offer with an almost childish glee. To be near the sea again. To get a boat, and be rocked to sleep once again, and with Svava in his arms. His own personal heaven.
His thoughts, or a few of them as he lays there next to his sister, watching over her in the way that he knows very well that she can take care of herself, but it doesn't stop him.
