Yes. But, they weren't always priestesses, many of them. And some weren't at all. Just women living there, for whatever reason.

Parker makes a non-commital sound. "Interesting. Must tease Thom about it."

[amused,]

If you want. He learnt other things.

"Still," Parker says. "Schooled by abstinent priestesses."

In deportment. Mmmhmmm.

"Deportment?" Parker asks lazily.

[Delia pushes herself up into a sitting position, swings her legs over the couch so her feet rest on the floor and straightens her back. She's still wearing boots, still flashing her legs and wearing something that hugs her figure, but she's a lady.]

Deportment.

Parker slides down from his seat and kneels on one knee in front of her, holding his hand out for hers.

If you want to propose, I'll say no.

[she points out, placing her hand on his]

Grinning, Parker presses a chaste kiss to her hand. Says, "Deportment," as though it should be obvious.

He stands and stretches, before dropping back into his seat. "'couldn't propose to you, Li, what would the neighbors say?"

Mmmm...I'm back to my old tricks?

Nodding he says, mock seriously, "You wooed the poor boy away from his lover." He tsks softly.

It's a bad, bad habit of mine. Now, who?

"Lawrence," Parker says.

Is that a boy's name or a girl's?

Parker smirks, "If you had to guess. You'd guess it was a..."

[promptly]

Boy.

"How'd you guess?" Parker laughs. "Yeah. Lawrence is the blond, English guy? Flirts with a lot of guys."

The way you look at Thom. And I don't know him.

Parker blinks. Takes that one in. Shrugs and says, "Well, Thom's hard not to look at." But it's not quite what he means. "I didn't know it was that obvious."

Well. Maybe I'm just suspicious.

"Not a bad quality in a woman," Parker says.

Sadly, it's a quality that comes from experience.

"Most of the men in your life want Thom?"

Exactly.
