Oh, yes, he is going over lightsaber katas. If anything, his skill keeps on improving.

In the semi-dark of a starry night, the display of flashing and dancing lights is quite impressive.

Watch, bother, interrupt?

The old man wanders out from the bar and watches for several moments.

"Master Windu," he says at length. "I didn't think it was possible for your skill with the blade to improve any further."

Watch the impossible. Mace Windu is surprised.

"Obi-Wan?" He freezes in mid-routine, and composure flies off the window.

No, he does not hug Ben, but he gets close to it. "Obi-Wan!" That is also a rare smile on his part.

Obi-Wan bows and returns the smile. "You recognized me more quickly than Master Dooku did. Then again, the last time he'd seen me, I'd only just had my braid trimmed, let alone started growing the beard." Headshake. "But I must be from quite some time into your future all the same."

"How could I not recognize a friend, and the one and only true Master of Soresu?" Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he has a sense of humor.

The smile deepens. "'The Master of Soresu'. Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time. But," he shrugs, "who am I to argue with the Master of Vaapad if he chooses to recognize me as a peer?" He holds out a hand for shaking. "By the by, when is it for you? Master Dooku didn't say."

"I did not tell him. I come here from hours, days at most before Sidious turned the Clone Troopers on us. Anakin came to me, saying he had discovered the Chancellor was a Sith, and I took Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin, and Agen Kolar with me to arrest him."

"From your phrasing, I gather you were still on your way to the Chancellor's Suite when you found yourself here, unless you've come from after the events that took place there. In either case," a sigh and a headshake, "I should say you're from only minutes before the troopers received their orders."

Chris runs outside, obviously following the PRETTY LIGHTS OMG!

Wyatt, not to be outdone, orbs behind him a few seconds later.

And a few seconds after that a slightly haggard mother runs catches up the the two little ones.
She sets down beside them, then falls flat back on the grass. "Keeping up with you two is even worse here than it is at home."

The boys staaaaaaaaaaaare at the pretties that the mommy missed.

Not taking his still wide eyes off the lights, Wyatt pats his mother on the leg.
"Mommy, LOOK!!!"

Piper lifts her head.
"mm?"

Her eyes widen as well.




"...well.

That's different."

Piper's eyes WIDEN MORE.
Urgently, "Wyatt, force-field." A blue circle grows and encumpases both him and Chris.
She quickly raises up far enough to raise her hands and attempt a freeze.

That is were 50 years of Jedi training pay off. Mace feels the ripple, the disturbation coming at him. Since he does not know what it is, he moves with it, riding an invisible wave of Force away from the focus of the spell. The lightsaber goes off, and he retreats into the shadows, still very hyped up in Vaapad.

Even more interesting is the way Mace seems to 'wink' from a place to another, moving faster than eye can follow. Vaapad, he does not walk, he flows with the Force, using his harmony with the energy flows of the universe to perform feats far beyond what simple physical prowess could achieve.

Mace finishes the sequence, before stopping, breating deep, and turning to the youngster. "Harmony with the Force. And Vaapad."

He nods. "I'm no stranger to the first, but I must admit, I've never heard of Vaapad."

He stands up strsight from the tree he was leaning against and begins walking slowly towards the gentleman. He's gotta be a Master... but I can't say I recognize him. "Mind if I ask when about you're from?

"Vaapad is my variation of the Juyo Form, and its completion. It is named after an extremely fast and cunning and unpredictable predator from Sarapin." He bows to the young man. "I am Mace Windu. I come from before the creation of the Empire."

And there would be Dooku walking out, quite bored with the Bar and not having any lessons for his certain...student.

He stands aside from where Mace is, watching his katas. Impressive.

He clearly improved some from when I 'last' saw him, back at the Temple...
