There is one more empty bed in the infirmary.

The reason for that is sitting on the piano, glancing around the bar with sharp green eyes.

He's a little slow still, but really feeling much better.

Puck blinks.

"Lipstick?"

This would be an I-don't-know-what-that-is rather than a Draco's-a-great-big-weirdo-who-keeps-lipstick-in-his-man's-bag.

Draco placed his head in his hands, and groaned, "Never mind... I said too much already." And he doesn't have a man bag. Not even from the Bowie influence, and he wasn't wearing any of late.

The fairy pouts.

"But now you've thoroughly piqued my curiosity."

"I wasn't myself at the time, and wearing strange outfits. And singing, so can we leave it?" Draco muttered, ignoring the pout, or at least attempting to. Keeping his head lowered to the table helped some.

Puck sighs.

"You're a terrible tease with a story."

(ooc: slowtime would be good, sorry for the delay!)

Draco stared back at him briefly, and groaned, "It's a terrible story. There was makeup, singing, tight outfits, and sodding leather, and I was under some sort of compulsion at the time."

Puck looks positively scandalized.

"A terrible story, sirrah?" he repeats.

"Not a grize. It sounds wholly and completely superlative."

Too bad Puck's never seen Velvet Goldmine.

Draco turned to look at him, "Oh, sure it'd be a scream to anybody else. I'd certainly laugh if it happened to someone else."

Good thing Draco isn't up on muggle entertainment.

"Didn't help that I think whoever I was at the time, was a bit of a poof." Lalalalala... digging holes, digging holes...

Puck smiles winsomely.

"You shall have to learn to laugh at yourself, you know. It'll rather take the edge off should another attempt to do it for you."

Then he tilts his head to the side, birdlike.

"Poof?"

He might know what that means.

But maybe not.

... TEACHING MOMENT.

"Rather laugh at others' misfortunes. More fun that way," Draco remarked.

He sighed, and rolled his eyes, "Yes, a poof. A bloody queer. Boy who fancies other boys." He should know the term, been accused of it enough over the years. Until he'd prove otherwise, or simply make them regret their remarks. Usually with Crabbe and Goyle doing the job of making them regret it.

Puck doesn't really answer the one about laughing at the misfortune of others.

Just ... smiles.

And blinks.

"A bloody queer," he repeats, absolutely riveted and one hundred percent innocent.

"It sounds dreadfully violent."

Draco eyed the smile with some confusion. He didn't ask about it though.

"Don't know about violent, but seems awfully silly and stupid to me. Utterly revolting." He sniffed some with a scowl.

"... Which was that?"

You'd almost think Puck was stupid.

"Fancying boys obviously. Supposed to fancy girls. Better kissers and dressers usually anyway." Draco huffed.

Puck laughs.

"Do you mean to say, then, that you find yourself inferior to half the mortal race in matters of dress and kissing?"

Grow some self-esteem, Draco!

"What?" Draco blinked at that, "Of course not! I can do both very well." He sat up a bit straighter, and smoothed his wizard robes some.

"And are you the only such a one in the world, do you imagine?"

Dubious eyebrow arching.

"Don't know about that, but I'm certainly one of the best." Draco smiled in a superior fashion.

The dubious eyesbrow ... is not getting any less dubious.

"Really."

Now Draco was almost pouting at the lack of being impressed.

"Well, I am. One of the reasons I was so popular at home," he snootily added.

Puck laughs.

"Dearling, I assure you that however good you may be, I know better."

Draco hated his pride taking injury, so he huffed again, "Doubt it."

Quite innocently, "Care to make a test of it?"

Draco eyed him warily, "A test of what? My skills at fashion?"

No, that couldn't be right...wait.

"...wait, you mean kissing? Urgh...rather not. I know I'm good, don't need a test."

Another laugh.

This one is slightly derisive.

"There's no shame in fearing failure."
