Atop a long table in one corner of the bar sits a row of punch bowls containing ladles and various cocktails: from margarita to plain screwdriver. These are accompanied by several bowls of ice, some containing various bottles of beer. There are stacks of plastic glasses, paper plates, napkins, and a large pile of ivy wreaths at one end. The drinks are buffet-style at this party, so help yourself.

There are plates scattered over the residual tables in the area, some overflowing with huge bunches of grapes, others containing savory fare such as chicken legs, hunks of bread, olives, cheese or humus dips.

To try and give an impromptu impression of a Roman/Greco theme, the tables have been topped with white tablecloths and chairs and surfaces strewn with ivy. If there had been a way to fashion columns or import colonnades in twenty four hours, Indy would have tried it. But ivy will have to do on short notice. At least its not poisonous.

He looks down at his own garb. "I set the damn thing up, and I still made a costume. You should get into the spirit more," he moans.

*Meg settles the wreath more firmly on her head.* See? Spirit, *she says, cheerfully.* But I just wouldn't be me without a tutu.

"You could wear a sheet on top of your tutu," he protests.

But that would ruin the whole point of a tutu, *Meg says, firmly.* You have to see the frills.

"People see the frills every night," he counters. "This is unique, a chance to be a little different."

"Liberated even," he adds as he tugs at the front of his makeshift robes.

[balletrat]

I've been liberated, *Meg points out.* Remember, bondage outfit? That was enough for me.

"Bah... that was then," he points out, still keeping up the facade of sullenness. "Live in the present."

"Personally, I think it's very disrespectful to Tim."

[balletrat]

Tim doesn't seem to mind, *Meg says, cheerfully.* He was talking about putting me in an outfit like Ace's, but I talked him out of it.

"Aw, crap. Now I'm even more upset," he says, finally grinning at her. "Pretty awesome that he made it back here, huh?"

[balletrat]

Oh yes. *Meg's smile lights up her whole face.* Andrew said he thought he might, but I didn't believe him really -

"I didn't even think there was a hope that he would. Tsch... no-one tells me anything," he responds.

He takes a big gulp of his drink and makes a sour face as he remembers her plight from their last conversation.

"Are you still hitched?"

Well, Andrew didn't want me to tell anyone and get people's hopes up -

*Meg winces, and nods.* Haven't seen my aunt or my sort-of husband since.

"Hmmm. No news is good news... I guess?"

[balletrat]

Well, at least there's been no more molesting, *Meg says, with a sigh.* It's still, you know, unnerving. I'd just like to get the thing annulled and over with.

"Can none of the other Endless help you? Or an attorney? You'd think there'd be a lawyer or two frequenting this place, leeching off the customers."

Indy hasn't met Atticus so far.

I haven't seen any of the other Endless either, *Meg points out,* except Dream, who doesn't like me much. And my father would probably just laugh.

"Any chance you could just pretend it didn't happen, and keep out of your husband's way?" he suggests unhelpfully.

[balletrat]

*Meg hesitates.*

Well, I don't think Andrew likes the idea of being an extramarital affair much -

"I still don't see the legality of it all, so I dunno why he'd be worried."

[balletrat]

It's just -

*She flails, a bit.* You know. Weird. I just want to get it taken care of.

He nods in agreeement. "What does this Lord Peter guy look like? I think I should have a little chat with him."

He glances at his disheveled robes, and the copious amounts of exposed flesh.

"Uh... at some point. Maybe when I'm normal clothes."

[balletrat]

It's not really his fault, *Meg says, rather worriedly.* In general he's a pretty nice guy, he's just - you know, crazy right now.

Indy rolls his eyes skyward. "So, this all rests on him regaining his sanity?"

He lets out a dejected sigh. "What are the chances of that?"

Hopefully good? *Meg says, optimistically.* Once my aunt gets tired of him -

He looks puzzled. "What's he doing with her anyway?"
