Toga Party

Atop a long table in one corner of the bar sits a row of punch bowls containing ladles and various cocktails: from margarita to plain screwdriver. These are accompanied by several bowls of ice, some containing various bottles of beer. There are stacks of plastic glasses, paper plates, napkins, and a large pile of ivy wreaths at one end. The drinks are buffet-style at this party, so help yourself.

There are plates scattered over the residual tables in the area, some overflowing with huge bunches of grapes, others containing savory fare such as chicken legs, hunks of bread, olives, cheese or humus dips.

To try and give an impromptu impression of a Roman/Greco theme, the tables have been topped with white tablecloths and chairs and surfaces strewn with ivy. If there had been a way to fashion columns or import colonnades in twenty four hours, Indy would have tried it. But ivy will have to do on short notice. At least its not poisonous.

Ace is there, properly attired though the icon doesn't show it, because this mun is icon-making incompetent. She's still bouncing. It's an interesting effect, with the toga. She's so happy this party is going to work, since she's been rather distracted from being any sort of help party-planning wise, lately.
Snagging one of the wreaths, she sets it on her head at a jaunty angle and begins looking for people who look lost, so she can at least help with the hosting duties.

*Tim is there, of course. He has opted out of the wreath, instead wearing his hat. But he is wearing a Toga. And, because Tim is weird, his robe is purple. Trust Tim to be different. He lounges on a couch, a goblet of drink in one hand, and a handful of grapes in the other.*

Ace leans on the back of the couch, grinning. And nibbling on bread dipped in humus.
"Shouldn't there be some nymph-type person feeding those to you?" She asks, cheekily.

Ali’s standing at the party looking bored. If there was ever anyone to crash an open party it would have to be Ali G. And Tim thought his toga was different.

"Hullo!" And there's an Ace, doing her best to be a good greeter. She gives Ali a curious look. Forgive her, it's almost a genetic predisposition.
"You new then?"

*Meg is rather pleased to find that she is not automatically betogaed on arrival. Apparently the fact that she originated the idea is enough to exempt her from arbitrary sheetage.*

At this point, Ace isn't betogaed either. She's... erm... beleaved? Thanks to Tim, she's wearing a miniminiskirt and halter top of leaves.
"Hullo!" If she's gonna be dressed like this, she's going with a bang.

Indy does not look amused at her lack of costume. He stalks up behind Meg and sets an ivy wreath on her head. When she turns around she will see that his arms are folded in tune with his stern expression. It doesn't really work with his ill-fashioned toga.

"I think I saw another toga in the back of my wardrobe, Meg." Svava grins at her, walking over.

Indy wanders over in a bed sheet toga of his own making, shooting Ace a wink. He casts a casual eye over the set up once again as he ladles himself a drink and adjusts his ivy garland. Everything seems to be in order, and the margarita is delicious.

Charlie joins the party, wearing . . . something toga-like. He looks around for Ace, glad he has another chance to meet Sir Tim.

"I don't believe we've ever been formally introduced. I'm Indiana Jones."

His hand comes out instinctively and just hangs there for a few seconds until he realizes the futility of the gesture and smirks.

Murphy's heading down from his room and into the bar proper when he spots the party area. Curiosity wins out and he wanders over.

Ginny walks Over to who seems the ring leader of this all not in a toga..but she notices this man is wearing a sheet

"It was de rigeur attire for the Greeks and Romans, way back when," Indy says while helping himself to another drink. "Feel free to join in... we're celebrating Tim's return from... uh... the dead. Sort of."

*Inara walks into the bar, not at all happy. She has had a rough evening, with a disrespectful client. She catches sight of the togas in the corner and smiles. Seems like an ideal way to improve my mood. She walks slowly over and hovers near the edge, not sure she should intrude or not.*

Indy catches sight of Inara as he's filling his cup for a third time. His eyes notably widen, and a fond smile creeps across his face.

"Inara! What a lovely surprise," he blurts out as he pads over in his flapping toga. "How the hell have you been?"

Claire comes down to the bar to get some tea. She doesn't know the good news and she doesn't have a toga. . .yet. She is looking at the party with some curiosity though.

Yes, there had been something like a toga in her wardrobe. Figures.

However, Tim's back, he's alive, and there's a party. She's not going to feel embarrassed about wearing this unless someone says something. So there.

"He's back, Tom. There was some sort of switch or mix up and he was dead but not really-" Svava laughs, shaking her head. "Oh, I don't understand what the magics were for it. But he's back."

Mike hobbles his way down the stairs wearing nothing but his cast, and a bright orange pair of boxer shorts. The Voltron sheet slung over his arm has yet to be made into a toga.

Clearly Mel as a sheet deficiency in her room, at this toga is rather ridiculously short. But there she is, not a sign of her previous injuries, heading straight over to the party.

*Alanna and Val approach, smiling and each carrying wine bottles. Both are clad in sheets, but contrary to the icon, they remain fully clothed underneath.

Val's sheets are Star Wars themed and appear to have her new family all over them.*

"Evenin' ladies," comes the call from a far from sober Indiana Jones as he strolls over to refill his cup for the umpteenth time. He's not the host, and his toga is looking much the worse for wear. It didn't very toga-ish in the first place to be fair. It's more like a sheet hanging off his shoulder now. Thankfully, he has on white boxers.

Resplendant in a red toga, Wolf shows up, with a Virginia in tow. She looks rather fetching, all wrapped up in her sheet and starting to get the "pregnant mommy" glow.

Spotting the food, Wolf zeroes in.

His appetite is back to normal, ever since he talked to the returned Tim.
