Atop a long table in one corner of the bar sits a row of punch bowls containing ladles and various cocktails: from margarita to plain screwdriver. These are accompanied by several bowls of ice, some containing various bottles of beer. There are stacks of plastic glasses, paper plates, napkins, and a large pile of ivy wreaths at one end. The drinks are buffet-style at this party, so help yourself.

There are plates scattered over the residual tables in the area, some overflowing with huge bunches of grapes, others containing savory fare such as chicken legs, hunks of bread, olives, cheese or humus dips.

To try and give an impromptu impression of a Roman/Greco theme, the tables have been topped with white tablecloths and chairs and surfaces strewn with ivy. If there had been a way to fashion columns or import colonnades in twenty four hours, Indy would have tried it. But ivy will have to do on short notice. At least its not poisonous.

"Glad you two could make it!" Ace is very enthusiastic about quite a large number of things. This is probably very understandable.

"It's very good to be happy again." Ace replies cheerily. She's still bouncing on her toes. Poor Wolf.

Oooh, look, Virginia. Pregnant, only partially-clothed Virginia.

"Being happy is always a good thing! Uh, I'm going to, uh, go get a drink." And he's off.

"How are you?" Virginia asked Ace, watching her soon-to-be-hubby go with amusement. And a little jealousy. Yes, she noticed he was checking out other women.

But she was used to it. And he checked her out more, so it wasokay. And he was only human...and wolf.

Plus, at least Ace wasn't some...shepherdess.

"Even with him back, it must have been an emotional roller coaster. Are you okay?"

Ace, on the other hand, is oblivious. Otherwise she'd be very red. And hiding. She grins at Virginia and shrugs.
"I'm sure I'll crash in a day or two. It probably won't be pretty. I'm riding high right now, though, and I intend to enjoy it."

"Keep riding high! There's no reason to crash. He's here and back and everything's okay, and you're getting married, I heard, and that's wonderful."

She looked over at Wolf and then back to Ace, beaming. "Speaking of weddings? If I'm stuck here much longer, I'm just getting married here. And I wanted to know...would you be interested in being a bridemaid? Maid-of-honor, even?" She bit her lip. "Snow's being matron-of-honor, but I want a maid-of-honor, too. And you've been...you've been a really good friend to me since I've been stuck here. I mean, just a good friend, in general. I don't...I don't really have many close friends back home even."

Ace? Is stunned. This is more than enough payback for all the poor slayers and cute blondes and CSIs she's shocked in the last few weeks.
"I... You... Certainly. Yes." She beams, ridiculously pleased. "I'd be honored to."

Virginia's look of nervousness broke into a bright grin. "Yes! That's great!"

She sobered a little. "I wanted to ask you sooner, but the whole Tim thing...I wasn't sure if that'd hurt more or not."

"Might have." Ace admits. "Needed two gunslingers to set me straight after I found the rings. But I would have done it anyway."

"Still, I didn't want to make you hurt anymore than you did." Teh corner of her mouth quirked up, and she awkwardly reached out and grabbed Ace's hand and squeezed. "I'm so happy for you, Ace. When Wolf ran up to our room and told me he was alright, we were both jumping up and down on the bed, we were so relieved."

"So you missed my 'bounce around the bar like a lunatic' routine?" Never mind that she's still doing it. "I think I scared people."

"Honey if it were me, I'd be hugging random people. If anything ever happened to Wolf..." She turned and look at him.

He was still stuffing his face with chicken.

She grinned and shook her head, turning back to Ace.

"You've earned the right to bounce."

Ace laughs. It's very good to be able to laugh again.
"You better believe it. Oh! Wedding. Tuesday. You must come yes." She's a determined pyro.

"Wouldn't miss it for anything," Virginia informed her.
