Toga Party
Atop a long table in one corner of the bar sits a row of punch bowls containing ladles and various cocktails: from margarita to plain screwdriver. These are accompanied by several bowls of ice, some containing various bottles of beer. There are stacks of plastic glasses, paper plates, napkins, and a large pile of ivy wreaths at one end. The drinks are buffet-style at this party, so help yourself.
There are plates scattered over the residual tables in the area, some overflowing with huge bunches of grapes, others containing savory fare such as chicken legs, hunks of bread, olives, cheese or humus dips.
To try and give an impromptu impression of a Roman/Greco theme, the tables have been topped with white tablecloths and chairs and surfaces strewn with ivy. If there had been a way to fashion columns or import colonnades in twenty four hours, Indy would have tried it. But ivy will have to do on short notice. At least its not poisonous.

"I don't really recall." She beams. "I was talking to Anthy about Ragnarok, and didn't really pay much attention."

"Just fair warning, its too hard for me to do the rune spell when I'm hung over."

"I guess I'll deal with it."

He ponders over her fine toga and then pluck sourly at his own, now nothing more than a bedraggled sheet slung over his shoulder. He has boxer shorts on. "You see... that's how mine was supposed to look. Where'd you learn to wrap it?"

He admires it a little more before offering her one of his patented ivy wreaths. "There weren't any laurel trees outside," he explains. "Might as well go the whole hog though."
"Do you know the origina of the theme of the party?"

Even still, wait til it all hits her system.

Ar this point, Archie wanders up, completely oblivious of the previous conversation, or the ammount that Svava's had to drink. He's grinning as he approaches the pair.
"Hello. This would be the party you mentioned yesterday Indiana, is it not?"
His grin widens.
"You look lovely my lady, that gown does suit you."

Thankfully the conversation may find itself moving on as Archie arrives. Indy pouts at him playfully. "Yes... this'd it. But... where's your toga, Archie?"
no subject
"Archie! Tim's alive and its a party! And people are wearing togas and the romans did all sorts of things beside build walls in London."
There's another giggle, and Svava grins at him.
"Oh! Hi. My name is Svava, and you're cute."
However, insted of the nose-lick that the Honorable Lady Ako recommended, the Valkyrie decides to kiss the British Naval Officer.

Archie does manage to answer Indy before Svava launches herself at him. He gestures to his attire.
"I have no toga. I have this uniform and two others just like it. That is all."
He is silenced however, by Svava's kiss and he just stares her stunned for a moment.
"Are you quite all right, my dear?"
no subject
He pulls out some of his terribly loose wrappings to illustrate, seriously jeopardizing any remaining hold the sheets had on his body.
"Bar is giving them out if you wanna get in the spirit."

"If one is to get drunk at all, it is preferable to do it for celebratory reasons," he replies diplomatically.
He eyes Indy warily over the top of Svava's head. He's of the opinion that it would not be the best of ideas if his toga was suddenly... not.
"I do believe that miss Svava has enough spirit for the both of us. I... it is not required, is it?"
no subject
"Not required, but it's just a bit of fun... and quite liberating. Have you ever worn a dress before?" he asks innocently.
no subject
"Though I was lucky. I had one in my wardrobe. Much better than wearing that so-called bodice made just of a few leather straps that's also in there. Or Meg's slave girl costume. Or the chainmail bikini." Nodding enthusiatically, Svava pulls Archie more into the party.
"Though at Ace and Tim's wedding, the men will be wearing kilts. Would you wear a kilt, Archie? Or you could wear a toga now. Do you want to?"
no subject
"No! I have never worn a dress, certainly. A kilt os one thing, but a dress..."
Archie stares helplessly between the two, he's a feeling that he's going to loose this battle, no matter how much he protests.
"I have knobby knees..."
no subject
"And Svava... Meg very nearly insisted the theme of this party was leather strappy things. I reckon you got lucky... though Archie may disagree."
