(no subject)

It's been almost four months, in Ambergeldar, since Amy came into the bar. Four rather tiring months, really, spent criss-crossing the country so she could be introduced to a populace. But that all ended last week, in early October, almost two months early, and she's back, looking about for her friends.

The slight curve to her stomach could be the result of the fashion of her dress, or even a trick of the light. But given the way she's smiling . . . it's probably not.

Amy is back. And she has News.

"-of course." Wellard blinks, nodding. "I do plan on finishing it, though at the moment I'm helping Captain Sparrow repair his ship, instead."

He smiles a bit wryly. "Quite the same techniques for a good portion of it."

"Oh, no- it will fly." He smiles faintly. "That's quite the idea behind building it- there's a few things we're doing to it, that wouldn't let it sit well on the water, really."

"Ah... The Kraken attacked it." Wellard frowns, sighing quietly. "If you've ever heard of such a thing. The ship is rather tore up badly."

"The Kraken is supposed to be big enough to drag a whole ship under, Amy." Wellard bites his lip, thinking.

"So... it would be able to tear it to pieces as well, I would think."

"Ah. He seems to be quite alright." Wellard nods, carefully.

"He is here with his ship, so that... is one thing, at least."

Here in the bar, it can go either which way, really.

Wellard smiles faintly, and carefully sips his tea.

"The Pearl is out on the lake- I put together a raft for Jack, so he could get to shore. ... Specially considering the shark in the lake, really."

Wellard blinks, eyeing Amy.

".... a carpet?"

[identity profile] politestpirate.livejournal.com 2006-08-31 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Vaguely? Wellard just blinks at Amy.

"A flying carpet. ... Named Ellie."

This has more to do with the name, rather than said flying carpet exists, you see.

"There's nothing wrong with good, sensible names." Wellard's lips twitch, amused.

"The 'Rug' of 'Abrarugdabra', I believe." He grins. "But as for the rest of it..." Wellard shakes his head.

"'Amy' is also quite nice, really."

Wellard is... rather staring at this, by now.

"-but you and Meg are quite alright?"

Wellard blinks at Amy again-

Then dissolves into a fit of laughter.

To serve tea at the picnic, obviously.

Wellard still just grins at Amy. "Whatever works best in a fight, really."

"Well... ah. I would say you could plan it better for next time, but hopefully there won't be a next time for something like that exactly?"
