It's been almost four months, in Ambergeldar, since Amy came into the bar. Four rather tiring months, really, spent criss-crossing the country so she could be introduced to a populace. But that all ended last week, in early October, almost two months early, and she's back, looking about for her friends.
The slight curve to her stomach could be the result of the fashion of her dress, or even a trick of the light. But given the way she's smiling . . . it's probably not.
Amy is back. And she has News.

He smiles a bit wryly. "Quite the same techniques for a good portion of it."

"What happened to Captain Sparrow's ship? And it's on the lake?"
no subject
"Ah... The Kraken attacked it." Wellard frowns, sighing quietly. "If you've ever heard of such a thing. The ship is rather tore up badly."
no subject
Amy frowns.
no subject
"So... it would be able to tear it to pieces as well, I would think."
no subject
Amy shudders a little.
"Captain Sparrow is all right, though?"
no subject
"He is here with his ship, so that... is one thing, at least."
no subject
He doesn't say and she doesn't ask whether this particular "alright" involves being dead or alive.

Wellard smiles faintly, and carefully sips his tea.
"The Pearl is out on the lake- I put together a raft for Jack, so he could get to shore. ... Specially considering the shark in the lake, really."

".... a carpet?"
no subject
This is probably not terribly helpful.
no subject
"A flying carpet. ... Named Ellie."
This has more to do with the name, rather than said flying carpet exists, you see.

"'Amy' is also quite nice, really."
no subject
"Anyway," she continues, getting back to the point, such as it is, "Meg and I were having a picnic out by the lake, using Ellie as a blanket, and then there were demon bunnies, so Meg sort of launched us into the air, only there's a hole in the rug, so she got very moody -- Ellie, I mean, not Meg -- and starting zipping about in crazy circles and then dumped up in the lake, but Caspian was out on the Hope and fished the three of us -- me, Meg, and Ellie -- out and got us back to shore."
no subject
"-but you and Meg are quite alright?"
no subject
Pause.
"I hit one of the rabbits with a tea kettle."
no subject
Then dissolves into a fit of laughter.
no subject
Sort of.
Though why she had a tea kettle along on picnic is anyone's guess.

Wellard still just grins at Amy. "Whatever works best in a fight, really."
no subject
"Precisely. The fight went very well. It was just the retreat that was a bit of a disaster."
There's probably a lesson in that.
