Galadan has been away for some small space, going about his own business elsewhere. But with his wolves moving as he wills, and with the rest of his plans proceeding apace, he can certainly spare the time to visit Milliways, and see what he may learn here.
There are always agendas that need furthering, and Galadan has had a very long time learning how best to manage such demands.
Which explains why he is settled at a table, a glass of red wine before him, watching the passerby, searching out familiar or interesting faces.
When gathering information it is often best not to be too picky, and Galadan is possessed of a fierce need to know.
It serves him well.

Gabriel is looking over a document from the folio in front of him, a cup of coffee to hand.
His other hand is drumming a nervous tattoo on the tabletop.

Galadan picks up his own wineglass and approaches, very careful to make noise as he walks.
"Gabriel. You're keeping yourself well, I hope, and not entirely too busy?"
no subject
"And yourself, Galadan?"
As he asks the question, he indicates the empty seat across from him in clear invitation.
no subject
"I find myself well, thank you, though also busy. I do not see it changing overmuch in the near future, unfortunate as that may seem."
no subject
Swift concern is visible as he looks at the other man.

"Unfortunate only to my sleeping habits, at the moment. Marshalling troop movements is far simpler on paper than in the flesh, as it were."
He casts a slight nod to the documents in Gabriel's hand.
"Though the distances I have to work with are, I suspect, much smaller than the ones you and yours must needs wrap your minds around. Not to mention your pocketbooks."
no subject
"I suspect you're right about that," he says dryly. "It certainly makes things complex."
no subject
"Far too many people can see only the short-term. It makes actually implementing useful . . . policies very difficult."

This particular night finds her downstairs, heading past Galadan's table on her way to Bar for a drink and smiling at him in passing.
no subject
His smile contains within it a flash of teeth, and he raises his wineglass faintly in her direction.
no subject
"Hey there. I don't think I've seen you around here before. You new?"
no subject
"I visit only infrequently, as the case may be. And yourself, lady?"
no subject
"Oh, I'm practically an institution here. I'm Lilly, DeadNeptuneCaliforniaEarth2005. I've been here for a couple of years now."
no subject
Galadan's interest sharpens fractionally.
"And--you did say dead, Neptune, California, and--was it 2005 I heard? Forgive me, it is only that you spoke so quickly--"
no subject
"But yeah, you got it all."
no subject
He smiles, inclining his head in a motion that might almost be a bow.
"I am Galadan, of the andain, and but lately come from Fionavar, first and fairest of the Weaver's worlds."

Galadan looks up, smiling faintly.
"Would you care to join me?"

He smiles faintly.
"That may, however, be my own particular problem. I'll freely admit to that."
