There's a brunette sitting across the bar from me, chattering away with Bob. Slayer's sister. Though, mostly, she goes by Dawn.

She suggested that as a precursor to Earth's Independence Day tomorrow, that we have, as tonight's specials, the following:

I slide both the drink and a dish of pretzels across the bar. "Though, you really should give the paradoxes a try."

"What are they?"

He sips the drink looking over at Harry

"Interesting - is the best way to describe them. They taste different for everyone. I think Angie said hers taste like apples and cinnamon."

It must've been a long time since I've had any, I don't have the first damned clue what mine tasted like.

he looks over at him

"ok I guess I'll try some them."

And now he has a bowl of paradoxes to go with his pretzels.

"Give 'em a shot. Worst that can happen is they taste like something you don't like and you have to eat pretzels instead." I shrug.

he nods as he picks on up then looks at it slowly eating it.

"yeah, a little bit but they're eatable. If just a little odd"

"I think they're odd on purpose."

"My God, Harry, could you have a more boring conversation with the patrons?" sayeth the, apparently, very bored skull about six inches away.

Obviously my air spirit-sitter is malingering in her duties.

Ryan goes to answer as he looks over at the skull. like did that thing just talk

"huh uh I see"

"Er, no, Bob, think that's you."

"Its the talking skull.. I've never seen.."

"Hey, I don't mean to ditch you, but I'm beat and when my talking skull doesn't get enough sleep, he's cranky, so I'm heading off. But I'm here every week or so, stop by again sometime."
