There's a brunette sitting across the bar from me, chattering away with Bob. Slayer's sister. Though, mostly, she goes by Dawn.

She suggested that as a precursor to Earth's Independence Day tomorrow, that we have, as tonight's specials, the following:

I'm not sure I'm reassured by that.

"Let's hope."

"Doan worry. She'll be fine. I'll take care o' her. She's too nice a girl t' let 'er do somet'in' dumb."

It should be noted that asking permission isn't really Belle's strong suit. If her father had thought it would do any good, he'd likely have locked her in her room whenever she wasn't training.

But Harry doesn't know that.

"Just make sure that she comes back in roughly the same condition she left in."

"Aww. No mo' piercin's o' tattoos? Y' no fun."

Belle grinned and chuckled. "On my life, 'Sieur Dresden."

I feel my eyebrows creep up my head.

"Dear God, no! Her parents already hate the ones she has."

If she gets more, I *know* I'll be a dead man.

Which only made her giggle more.

"She does have a wide variety. Kinda scary, really."

[wizard_dresden]

"Yeah. And, on that note, I think I'm out of here for the night. I'll see ya later, yeah?"


Bob and I head off for bed.
