In light of the latest wave of new arrivals (Random has spotted the pattern, have you?) the King of Amber is out on a couch, doing his paperwork and whistling, ready to give directions or explanations, or just generally be normal at anyone who comes by looking new.

Catching his pen between his teeth momentarily, and smiling.
"I haven't seen you before."

It's just that Marsh is coated in ash from hair to shoes. He drags his eyes up from the water and looks Random over in a very matter of fact way. "Marsh."

She's heading toward the fireplace with a cup of coffee and the Financial Times when the whistling catches her ear.
She glances toward the man and quirks an eyebrow. Paperwork can't be that fun.

"Afternoon."
Drumming his pen idly on the table.

She can feel her cheeks heat up; she hadn't meant to stare.
"Afternoon," she echoes, her eyes flicking to the pen in his hand. "Busy or procrastinating?"
no subject
To be perfectly honest.
"Procrastinating now. Thank god."
no subject
"Sounds like a cry for help."

Not really.
Noticable?
Exceedingly. Even if Medusa is standing by the Observation Window, giggling at the storm.
Actually...that's not helping.

it's been years since he's seen or thought of the gorgons.

There is a green-eyed, dark haired woman now occupying the chair across from the couch. She's dressed in snug, gray breeches and a man's purple shirt.
And she's smirking.

"Afternoon. I think."

"Drowning in paperwork?"
no subject
Mwahaha!
"Taking my wife away next week, so if I can get all this done then I'll be able to go with a clear conscience."
no subject
"Good. She works as hard as you do. Take her somewhere romantic."

She has a suitcase in each hand, and is glancing around, trying to figure out where to go.

A sympathetic smile.
"Are you dead? Or just metaphorical?"

She shrugs, and squirms a bit in her shoes. "Cheap is good. Cheap is about all I can afford."
