The mun was not going to post Boo in this weekend. She was going to take some time to finish slowtimes and work on small plotty things. However, the mun forgot that she had IDEAS. She also forgot that she, too, is helpless against the cuteness that is Boo. And SO, here we are.
Boo is outside her blanket fort. She appears to be All Better! from last week's being sick thing. She's hopping around and singing. On top of her blanket fort there is a half eaten plate of cake and a pink Hello Kitty! sippy filled with lukewarm hot chocolate.
Boo has definitely been affected by the people she's met here.
It should be noted what Boo is wearing! She has on a white t-shirt with a large, red " Hello, My Name Is " logo on it. And in the name portion of the logo "Boo!" appears to be handwritten on it. (except it's not hand written; it's printed on there like the rest) On the rest of the shirt there are smaller and different colored "Hello, My Name Is" logos, with all of the names she's called on them. "Boo!" is there a few more times, "Grace" and "Gracie" are on there at least two times each, "Half Pint," "Squirt" "Zow" "Mike" and "Mike Wizowski" are also featured prominently. There is also "Little Bit", "Little One" "Cutie" and possibly several others that the mun has forgotten.
She also has on black jean shorts and white bunny house shoes that JINGLES WHEN SHE MOVES HER FEET. This might explain why she's dancing around. SHE LOVES HER NEW SHOES!
It's unclear where Boo got all these items, or how they got onto her person. But she has them on and she LOVES THEM and thus it's all happy making in the end.

"Well, okay," she says slowly, looking from Boo to the bar, then back to Boo. "But here's the thing — we'll have to go back to Bar and ask for something to carry Fred in. We can't just lift him out of the water, all right?"
no subject
"F'ed iss!" She pouts.
no subject
"I know you want Fred right now, but we need to get him a little house first," she explains, "to carry him inside to his tank."
And by "little house," Kate totally means "a plastic bag."
no subject
She splashes in a hurried fashion toward the shore, then turns around and looks at Kate like 'What are you still doing there?'
Then she skipruns toward the bar.
no subject
"Right behind you," she calls, hurrying after speeding!Boo. "Careful on the steps, Gracie."
no subject
Ish.
Definitely careful-ish.
Unless, of course, being careful interferes with what she wants to do.
Then whole 'careful' idea kind of goes out the window.
She runs over to Bar. "F'd iisss hos'!"
no subject
Kate reaches the bar a few seconds later and grins at Boo's request.
"Bar, can we have a plastic bag to hold a small fish, please?"
When it appears, she holds it up for Boo's inspection.
"Fred will only have to stay in this for a few minutes, then we'll put him in his real house," she says, pointing to the ten-gallon tank on the counter. "Sound like a plan?"
no subject
"No hos" shaking her head.
no subject
Before Kate can explain further, the ten-gallon tank is suddenly filled with water, colorful pebbles, a piece of bright pink plastic "coral," and underwater foliage.
There's also a small plastic diver and a tiny treasure chest filled with gold coins.
no subject
She points to Bar.
"F'ed isss hos!"
A brightly colored Fred-sized house appears in the bottom of the tank and Boo beams. "Lesdoe!" She heads back towards the door outside.
no subject
Bag in hand and still smiling, she follows Boo back to the lakeshore.
no subject
no subject
"Okay, Boo, let's be super-still for a second and see if Fred swims over."
She peers into the water, but there's no sign of Fred just yet, from what Kate can see.
no subject
"F'ED ISSS!" She splashes toward her newly rediscovered pet with her arms out.
no subject
She crouches carefully and places the plastic bag just under the surface of the water.
Though it would just be too easy if Fred swam over and into his new-but-temporary home.
no subject
Boo rushes toward Fred with lots of two year old enthusiasm! Fred swims away at the last minute.
Maybe the fish is smarter than we give him credit for.
no subject
Kate half-wades, half duck-walks closer to Fred.
"Think you can herd him over here, Boo?"
Because that'll totally work.
no subject
Fred, sadly, is smarter than both of them.
no subject
When Boo zigs and Fred zags, Kate anticipates the zag and, lo, there is now a Fred inna plastic bag filled with lake water!
no subject
Boo, on the other hand, is gleeful! She
splashesruns to Kate and hugs her legs."F'ED ISSS HOS!" She points toward bar.
no subject
Kate, meanwhile, is triumphant.
She gives Boo a quick grin and begins to wade out of the shallows.
"Want to help put Fred in his house?" she asks with a laugh, already knowing the answer.
no subject
"F'ED ISS HOSS!"
It appears to be her mantra.
no subject
Kate trails just behind Boo and they squelch inside and back to the counter, where Fred's new home awaits.
"Okay, Boo," Kate says, lifting the lid of the tank and waiting for Boo to scramble up on a stool and onto the counter, "you can help me put Fred in his new house, okay?"
And by "help," Kate means hold one edge of the plastic bag while Kate does the pouring.
no subject
Boo totally scrambles up onto a stool and looks at Kate expectantly as she talks.
Then she reaches for the plastic bag. SHE gets to pour Fred Fish. This was all her idea, you know.
no subject
So Kate gingerly lifts Fred's bag, holding its edges firmly and leaving plenty of room for Boo-sized hands to quasi-help with the pouring.
"Ready?" she asks, the bag hovering safely over the lip of the tank.
