Duo is sitting on top of a table in the bar. He's pretty relaxed at the moment, t-shirt and jeans, with a bottle of soda sharing the table with him.

His concentration is currently on the yo-yo he's practicing with. He's no expert, intermediate at best. But he can do a trick or two, and his lack of true skill certainly doesn't show when it's just going up and down.

Pretty mesmerizing, too.

It's been a long while since Alfredo Linguini has been around and thus it's been a long while since Stitch has witnessed such an entertaining reaction. He snickers.

"Hiiiiiiiii."

"...hi. I'm guessing that's not actually your name, but y'know. Feel free to correct me."

At least he didn't actually scream?

Which only scores him an 8.5 as far as amusing reactions go, sadly.

"Name is Stitch." replies the creature peering curiously at the yo-yo.

"No kidding. I'm Duo." He re-winds the string, getting it ready to go again.

"You play?" Yo-yo, that is.

"Hmmm."

The Yo-yo is eyed a bit more critically. And then, rather suddenly it is reached for.

"Goobaja."

"I expect it back in the same condition I give it to you," Duo challenges. It's a cheap knock off of any of the good brands, but that doesn't mean he wants tooth marks on it.

Shrug.

"Okay."

The yo-yo is snatched up and held to an appraising eye. It is industriously snuffled. And then its rim is in fact gnawed on curiously.

"Trust me, it doesn't taste good." His tone is dry. Man on the Flying Trapeze can be a little hazardous.

After a few seconds the yo-yo is spat out on to the table. Rather nosily, in fact. That slobber was there when Duo gave it to him. Really.

A claw hooks through the looped end of the string. And swings the wooden disc across in a sharp horizontal arc. Like a discuss. Or a mace.

"HEY. What'd I say about around the world?" This comes from rather lower than Duo was a minute ago. He has good instincts, at least.

The yo-yo is jerked back. It smacks the table's edge with a rather impressive crack and whirls at the end of it's string hanging off into empty air.

"Morcheeba." notes Stitch thoughtfully.

Duo's eyebrows have vanished under his bangs.

"You often improvise weaponry?" Not that it's a bad thing. He just generally prefers to be out of the experiment range.

BAH DUM CHING!

Stitch blinks at the question. And then has the decency to look somewhat sheepish.

"Playing."

"Yeah?"

He considers this.

"You ever tried baseball?"

"Ih!"

He nods rapidly.

Baseball at the Pelekai residence is... interesting.

"...really." Indeed, interesting pictures begin to form in his head.

"You tried to here, yet? Just sayin', it could get interesting."

"Naga."

He has not; Lilo is not here. Also, he doesn't have his colander on hand.

"'Cause you look like a guy who knows how to have fun." And cause chaos, but that's totally beside the point.

"And I know a bunch of people who seriously need some fun, stat."

X, who has probably been worrying that Stitch would get himself in trouble for quite some time now, pauses on her way past their table.

Her eyes are just a little wide.

"Oh."

Beat.

"Hello."

Timing? What timing?

X is very quiet. But Stitch's nose is very sharp. He grins cheerfully.

"Aloha!"

"Evening, chicky." Duo grins too! It is welcoming! (X would probably be good at baseball, just like she's good at anything physical.)

"You two know each other?"

X is learning to put up with Duo's strange naming habits.

A little.

This means he gets a startled look and a slight frown instead of a verbal correction.

"Yes."

Beat.

"He is my friend."

Or not.

"I am not 'chicky'."

"Ih. Achi-baba mockeecha. Cousin."

His eyebrows go up again. "No kidding." Obviously they aren't blood related, but Milliways tends to foster interesting relationships.

"Sorry," Duo says, not really sorry at all. "I'll figure a good one out someday." He's still looking for another good name for her.

"Okay."

X shifts a half-step closer to Stitch.

On purpose.

"I will wait."
